volkswagen westfalia 1990 After years of adventures in our beloved Westy including a trip to Florida, Colorado, Maine, Vermont and numerous concerts, festivals, marches and beach trips the time has come to let her go for someone else to enjoy. We've always been steadfast with maintenance both routine and preventative and with everything up to date she is in prime form in need of nothing to be driven anywhere in confidence. Always starts on the first key turn and is extremely quiet, smooth running and shifting with no rattles, pulling, shimmies, or funny noises of any kind. Just passed PA inspection and emmissions last week which in PA unlike some states is stringent and covers all suspension components, complete braking, structeral, lighting and all electrical functions as well as the complete exhaust system and possibly more. The inspection is required annually. The interior is fresh and free of any odors including smoke air fresheners or shampoos. No stains or blemishes with the exception of a very small tear on the bottom section of the drivers seat. The mombasa roof top tent is huge and can sleep four people and has three huge windows on the sides and a few on the top it's sturdy and really comfortable with thick cushions and super easy to use taking about 3 minutes to set up. Once you take off the cover which is held on by elastisized cords with hooks (shown in pictures) you just click the two side latches and push up a little and the whole tent pops up into it's position with the ladder folding out which has buttons on the side to push in and pull depending on how high you want it. That's it literally. the tent can be used to open on the side or the back. To close it's the same process of just lifting the ladder up and folding the tent over and then walking to the other side and clicking the 2 latches closed and then putting the cover one, it really is super easy and very secure on the roof you don't even know it's there. here is a list of her attributes strong,smooth and extremely quiet 2.1 liter engine with cylinder heads rebuilt at 119K with absolutely no leaks of any kind. currently has 146,381 miles, running 100% excellent functioning automatic transmission two owners: first was 63 when he bought it and 81 when I bought it from him never in an accident factory paint in excellent shape ( no touch ups anywhere) No rust or repaired rust garage kept in climate controlled garage All new sink and stove wiring and hookups including faucet, high and low pressure hoses,brass couplers and fittings, all propane lines, dual stage propane regulator and splitter. new heater core and bypass regulator michelin defender tires with good evenly worn tread. No cracks in dash or sun fade Alpine CDE-9845 in dash stereo MP3 headliner in like new condition All cabinets in excellent condition with no shrinking moldings or missing or cracked handles. exc. door panels with no warping. all gauges working properly. All door and windows seals and gaskets and very supple therefore no air infiltration noises etc. absolutely no deferred maintenance, needs nothing and is completely ready to be enjoyed in confidence. no primping for the pictures it's in it everyday naturally clean state driven and then right into the garage since day one. high quality (made in USA) roof top tent by Mombasa sleeping four that is incredibly fun and easy to use.
