This car is a solid B+ to A- , everyday driver.No major dents, dings or scratches, paint shines bright.Interior near perfect, no holes or abrasion marks in carpet or OE floor mats. No rips or tears in leather seats or interior dash/ door panels. Always garaged, and off road in winter for the 4 years I've had and enjoyed it. Previously was in south and out of the snow belt.All repairs, maintenance, and modifications done by me, 25yr ASE Certified Master Auto Tech specializing in automatic transmission rebuilding. All mods were done with the intention of making car go better, stop better, drive easily and and run more efficiently, a lot of time was spent on getting the combination of mods correct. First start with the transmission, which if anyone has had or researched one of these GM platforms, you'll know that the transmission is the weakest link(not anymore!) Across the board clutch pack upgrades, HD 7/8"single drive chain/sprocket upgrade with 3.33 ratio.This puts RPM @ 70mph just at 2000rpm which will get you 28-29mpg on highway cruise with a gentle right foot. This coupled with a smaller and lighter torque converter makes for quicker more efficient acceleration from stop. Line pressure and solenoid upgrades along with Transgo shift kit make shifting seemlessly smooth at light throttle while short and crisp without tire chirping when accelerating briskly. Engine mods include ZZP modular blower pulley set up( 3.3", 3.4" and 3.5" included) 1.9 Ratio Yella Terra roller rockers along with upgraded comp cams push-rods, hydraulic roller lifters, new valve guide seals, and rollmaster double roller timing chain upgrade. This all gets more air in, the ceramic coated inside and out, ported tubular exhaust manifolds and crossover pipe get the exhaust out efficiently while helping to reduce under hood temps. This all works extremely well with the custom Stainless(wrapped) 3" downpipe, stock cat, u-bend and resonator removed along with a custom 2 1/2" stainless back to stock mufflers. Result is a really nice mello exhaust tone with "ZERO" annoying drone.Very comfortable and easy to drive for 500 miles at a time, only reason to stop is to get re-fueled and a bathroom break. Other supporting mods include Intense Racing Custom PCM, tuned to match above,upgraded Walbro fuel pump , along with 180 degree thermostat, colder Autolite spark plugs, and stock air box along with additional K&N cone filter(not shown). Wheels are 17"x7" dual 5 spoke off 04-06 GTP. (also have 5th wheel for a spare) this was needed to clear the upgraded GXP brake setup front and rear, including powerslot rotors and ceramic pads and stainless brake hoses. Tires are less than 3K miles on new BFGoodrich G-Force Comp Sport 2's ,nice match for traction and handling, that go well with the GM performance front and rear sway bars and new links, along with ZZP front and rear strut tower braces. This car is 100% there with all options intact and working, needs nothing to drive home anywhere at anytime.
