Here's the story for the interested reader: My wife wanted to buy a new 3/4 Ton Suburban in 2008 despite my objections.  We got a killer deal on a used 2006 so I lost the debate.  I was going to take time the following week to clean up the old Suburban and sell it.  Unfortunately, things got in the way, and it never happened.  It has pretty much sat in our driveway since 2008.  A few weeks ago, Mama laid down the law, "Its time for the car to go!!!"  I went to start it and naturally, it didn't run.  I replaced the battery with the battery from my existing Suburban--(I think that one is only a couple of years old).  It didn't run on its own when I tried to start it, but it would run with starter fluid.  This told me I had a fuel pump issue.  So I dropped the fuel tank, drained it, and put in a whole new fuel pump.  Once I re-filled it with 10 gallons of gas, it now purrs like it always did as witnessed by a link to a youtube video that can be found at embed/8eh9TlDB8jU (I would have embedded an iframe or a link to this video, but ebay won't let me.  Not sure why.   Here are some things I believe need fixing: (I make no claims that this list is complete!!) Tires are bald and need to be replaced. Windshield is cracked and needs to be replaced. Drivers door opens from outside, but not from inside. Upholstery shows a lot of wear and tear. (As seen in the photos below) Hood has some dents and some paint is peeling off.  (As seen in the photos below) Chrome running boards are beginning to rust. CD Player.  (It may have been the CD I tried) Air Conditioner.  (I was pretty sure it was working when we parked it). Needs brake job for safety sake.  (There may be some life left in the pads.  Just not sure.) Glove box needs fixing but it currently latches with effort. Things that I'm not sure about: (I make no claims that this list is complete!!) Towing Package and Its Wiring System.  (It worked to tow my boat before we parked it, however, I haven't tested it.) Windshield Spray System.  (I haven't tested this so I don't know either way. Rear Window Defrosting.  (The light on the dash comes on, but we haven't had frost to know for sure either way.) I can't test the cruise control for obvious reasons Things that seemed to work when I tested them: (I believe this list to be accurate, but I make no guarantees!!)     Engine Runs  (It was rebuilt in 2004 at about 125K Miles.  Mileage now at 222253 as seen in photo below.) Power Train (I've driven it around in the back yard of my 1 acre lot) Four Wheel Drive, both low and high range.  (U-joints and hubs need grease) Power Steering Alternator Cabin Blower or Fan for Heater and Air Conditioner (Both Front and Rear Systems) Power windows  (I would grease the internal mechanisms if I were keeping the car) Power mirrors Key locking/unlocking mechanisms. Power door locks.  (It locks all doors except rear drivers side.  It unlocks all doors except front passenger side. (Lubrication may fix this issue) Radio Cassette Tape Player Windshield wipers.  (Needs new blades) Emergency Flashers Cigarette Lighter Headlights (Both low and high beams) Turn signals Brake Lights Interior cabin lights I will answer questions and schedule "evening only in-place inspections" using ebay "contact seller" mechanism.  I will only allow in-place inspections--(meaning you can't drive it because the plates have expired and it is not insured).  Also I will only check for ebay messages in the evenings.       Please be patient.  I will get back to you. There is a box of spare parts in the engine compartment that will be thrown in with the vehicle.  It is shown as the last photograph in the gallery.  It contains an extra fan belt, fuel filter, and relay--(I think for the fuel pump).
