The 1957 (Tri-Five) Chevy is one of the most iconic cars of the modern era and this is one of the finest unmolested examples we have set eyes on. From the original two-tone paint colors and correct trim to the untouched dash, this car exemplifies a classic 57 in its finest form. Style 1011A denotes a Delray Club Coupe, making this a very low prodcution car. Unlike the mass produced Bel Air 2 door model (166k units in '57) this 210 Delray is 1 of only 25,644 built. Better yet, this 210 Delray has some options such as the 4bbl carburator, two tone paint and Bel Air style front bumper which make it a rare 210. The final cost of this car was nearly as much as a Bel Air which tells us that the original owner probably preferred the 210 body style with its painted rear 1/4s and shortened rear fin trim.

This car needs to be viewed in person to really appreciate just how nice and solid it is. The panel gaps are tight and the body lines are factory straight. The panels show true and straight down the sides and our digital paint gauge shows minimal filler throughout (see pics). The car was painted (we estimate 15 years ago) in its original two-tone colors and looks outstanding. A look inside the door frames shows the original paint in the most excellent condition (see pic of vin tag) proving the quality of the car prior to paint. We also note unusually dry and rust free paint inside the rear fuel fill area as well as inside the front fenders. Notice the upper fender bolt pictures, showing the patina and originality. You will also notice the original rubber upper hood seal. The trim is in near perfect condition, showing bright and straight from the hood darts to the window and side body trim. The windshield glass does have a hairline crack in it and I recently put a crack in the drivers side door glass (not pictures). The bumpers are straight and free from pitting. The doors have no sag and close crisp and tight. This car is an absolute stunner.

Inward, this 57 sports her original dash and instrument cluster. Patina to last a lifetime on the optional charcoal and black dash paint. While the original Charcoal/Ivory vinyl interior was replaced with newer covers, the interior retains its original seats, dash, headliner, accessories, and is very charming. Equipped with Heat. The seats are firm, the tracks move nicely and they fold forward with ease allowing access to the rear seats. The door trim panels and all knobs are in excellent condition and the windows roll smoothly. This 210 sports an in dash clock which we believe to be an option.

Under the hood is as nice as the rest of the car. The firewall retains its original paint and shows nice and dry. The 283ci turbo fire V8 is fed through a carter 4bbl carburetor with an original oil bath filter. The block is stamped CEG which denotes an over-the-counter replacement so we know this is not the original motor that came in the car off the production line. More than likely a dealer had to replace the original block with a factory replacement. The power is fed the rear wheels through the standard powerglide automatic. This hot rod chevy runs and drives great. It idles smooth and smoke free. The original wheels are pictured with 'dog dish' centers and we have the original centers (see trunk pics). The wheels are wrapped in an excellent set of cooper whitewalls.

The underside (see pics) is as DRY as you will ever find for any 1957. It still has the cobwebs from the barn it had been sitting in for years. We note original dealer undercoating which has kept this 210 in phenomenally dry condition. The rails, rockers, and body mounting positions are all in unusually nice condition free or rust and damage. All floor pans are straight and dry and show nicely as well. The suspension appears correct (rear shocks replaced with air at some point) and does not show any signs of impact damage. You can see the backside of both the 1/4s and fenders are in excellent and dry condition. We do notice that the drivers side glass has a long crack through it possibly from slamming the door with the window lowered. The window is still intact but one might consider replacing.

The only spots we would reccomend keeping an eye on are the rear body panel between the bumper and decklid. Water that penetrates the trunk seal liked to sit in the back of the trunk so we note some very minor bubbling in the paint. We also note some very light bubbles on the low side of the rockers that you can see in the pictures. Personally, I wouldnt address it until need be but we want to make sure we disclose it.
