Vehicle Detail

Up for auction is my 1972 Nova SS Clone. This car started life in California as a Green 6 cylinder, 2 speed power glide, with a 10 bolt limited slip rear end. I bought the car from the 2nd owner, who had plans of doing pretty much the same thing I did, but did not have the time.So I tore it down to a shell, and built it up from there. The car was 99% rust free, with the exception of a little rust starting at the bottom of both fenders. I put on 2 new ones, and also installed new door skins and quarter skins, due to it having a bunch of little whisky dents down both the doors and rear quarters. I didn't want a lot of bondo on it, so the new skins were the logical choice. The floors, trunk, rocker panels, and foront and rear cowl panels all had 0 rust on them. The motor is a 73 Elcamino SS 454 that was rebuilt with a mild RV cam installed as well as being bored out. The tranny is a turbo 400 that was also rebuilt and a B&M shift kit was put in to give it that nasty shift from 1st to 2nd and 2nd to 3rd. The rear differential is the original, and still going strong. I repainted it 69-70 Hugger orange, and installed a 67-68 Camaro rear spoiler, it fits very well, with only a little trimming done on the ends to make it fit. I cleaned and repainted the underside of the Nova, and installed sub frame connectors and a special transmission mount for the turbo 400 both of which I picked up from Summit racing. So here is list of every thing I have done to this car in the past year and a half. Rebuilt 325 HP--454 Engine Rebuilt 650 Edelbrock Carb. Rebuilt Turbo 400 Transmission with shift kit New shocks front and rear(AIR) New sub frame connectors New transmission cross member New 3" Aluminum radiator New external tranny cooler New B&M Ratchet shifter New 3 Gauge instrument cluster New front fenders, door skins, quarter skins New rear spoiler New grille w/SS emblem New eye brows New chrome moldings on hood and fenders New rear SS emblem New side marker Lenses and trim New 454 emblems and SS hood louvers New Windshield New brakes front and rear New Paint/ Base coat-clear Reupholstered seats New door panels front and rear New carpet New dash pad cover New door and trunk seals New driveline New Flow Master exhaust(sounds awesome) The headlner is still the original green that is in pretty good shape. I never got to that, and it is missing the trim pieces that go around the headlner, I don't think they make after market pieces, so they would have to be found in a wrecking yard, or someone parting out and old nova or ventura. I never came across any. The car runs, drives and looks great , and turns heads everywhere it goes. I am sure I forgot something, so if you have any questions please ask prior to bidding, I want the new owner to know exactly what he is getting. 1 Bad Ass Nova.
