I am listing this 1957 Chevy 3200 pickup truck for sale for a friend who does not have a computer. The truck is located in Dodd City, Texas which is about 75 miles northeast of Dallas, Texas. He is selling it due to having retired recently and needing to cut down on the number of vehicles he maintains. I cannot find any rust on this truck anywhere, and there is no evidence of rust repair. According to the owner, one door needed some body work when the truck was repainted about four years ago, and that is it. The truck has what we believe to be a 327 V-8 with a new four-barrel carburetor. The engine had new cylinder heads four years ago and a race cam put in it. It definitely has a lope at idle. It has dual exhausts with glass-pack mufflers and a new aluminum radiator. It has some add-on gauges under the dash which could be kept or removed. It is currently licensed and driveable anywhere. It has three-speed column shift with a fairly new Muncie 3-speed manual transmission. Tires are steel-belted radials, about four years old, with probably no more than 600 miles on them, in like-new condition. The paint is excellent; the interior is also in great condition, having been redone a few years ago. The wood in the bed is solid but needs a new coat of varnish, therefore, a rubber mat covers it for now. The truck has its original wheels and hubcaps, and has fairly new rubber seals around the windshield and back glass. It has been kept garaged. This is a 3200 series, with the long, narrow bed. The truck could be kept and driven as-is, or could be put back to original condition without too much work. It's big advantage is the excellent, solid condition of the body and floors. Odometer reads 33,xxx which is probably 133,xxx. Clutch action is smooth, engine does not smoke nor leak. The only work the truck needs is to re-varnish the wood in the bed and re-plate the exterior chrome emblems. There is a reserve price on the truck. If it does not meet the reserve, we will consider the high bid. We require a $500 deposit within 48 hours of the auction's conclusion and full payment of the balance within 10 days of auction's conclusion.
