Vehicle Detail
Selling my 1967 Mustang. Factory 289 v8, with power steering car. Good all around solid car, not perfect, but very presentable. The car was redone 20+years ago, so its showing its cosmetic flaws from over the years. Exterior of the car is all intact and would require no new sheet metal to have a beautiful car. Half a day of some light body work and new paint, the car would be ready for shows. Interior only needs the tops of the seats recovered other wise the interior is almost perfect. Trunk is solid, no holes, or soft spots. Underneath of the car is solid, needs nothing. Drive train is in great working condition, just had a fresh oil change, motor is the original 289 with 351 heads, mild cam, aluminum intake, brand new Edelbrock 600cfm carb, long tube headers, true dual exhaust all the way back with h-pipe, engine runs great and starts easy everytime, plenty of power aswell. Transmission is the c4, shifts great, never slips or feels soft shifting gears, transmission pan gasket is starting to leak a little bit. Rear end has a limited slip, but im unsure of the gearing, it seems to be in the 3:55 range vs the stock 2:79 of my other old mustangs. Gas tank is damp but doesn't drip, I do have a brand new one for it. Over all great driver, turn the key and go. Brakes are 4 wheel drum non power, they stop good and even, no pulling from side to side, no locking up one wheel more than the others, stops even everytime. Power steering is the only mechanical issue I can think of, the power steering lines are bad so they leak, I drained the power steering fluid, and took the drive belt off for the pump, and ive been driving it fine with out the power steering. Car needs tires, these are from 15+years ago and are getting cracked. Bottom line is its a good solid old Mustang, with the potential to make it anything you want with very little work, or jump in and drive it the way it is, requires no cutting and putting new sheet metal in, biggest thing id do is new wheels, little body work that needs to be done and paint it, have a beautiful driver along with taking it to a local car show, far from a cream puff, and a excellent car to invest in. I hate to part with it, but im buying a new house and could use the extra money at this time. Please message me with any questions, and feel free to leave a number if you'd like me to call you aswell. Thanks and Happy Bidding! If the buy it now is used ill put four brand new tires on the car before it goes to the new owner! Video of the car! (copy and paste in your browser) https://youtu.be/60Kf5FFkOo8
