1987 Ford F-150, regular cab, long bed, 4.9 liter straight 6 motor, 4 speed manual transmission, 2WD, 74300 miles. The truck runs and drives, but runs rough. It's missing on 1 or 2 cylinders. Once warm, it blows some oil smoke, so it probably needs valve seals. It was running fine this spring, but the valve cover gasket was leaking. I installed a new valve cover gasket, then it ran rough. I thought I broke a wire, so I put new plugs and wires on. That didn't fix the problem. I don't have the time or tools to fix it. I bought the truck in 2003, and it had about 60000 miles at the time. The Good: -Since this truck is over 25 years old, it no longer needs emissions testing. -The wheel arches have no rust. -new parts this year: spark plugs, plug wires, valve cover gasket -new parts last year: water pump, radiator hoses -tires have lots of tread -new parts in 2003: radiator, front windshield, brakes (calipers, pads, drums, shoes), idle air control valve, fuel injectors -new parts (5 to 10 years ago): alternator, battery, muffler & tail pipe, throttle cable, heater core -I have the original full wheel covers -still has the original jack, jack handle, and lug wrench The Bad: -engine runs rough, blows oil smoke -bottom corners of the cab have rust holes -head liner is gone -radio doesn't work -no A/C -tailgate latch is gone -rear tank has bad gas The buyer will be physically and financially responsible for the pickup of this vehicle upon sale. I will assist in the drop off of the vehicle if you plan on shipping the truck. This truck is also for sale locally, so the auction may end at any time.
