flinndc store The GOOD: Very attractive vehicle with a gorgeous red inferno color Interior is in excellent condition Engine and Transmission are in strong running condition (see below regarding water pump) New Michelin Premier A/S 205/60/16 tires with 60,000 mile warranty that have less than 3500 miles on them New Front brake pads and calipers New muffler and rear pipe New ignition coil, ignition wires and spark plug wires New battery on 8/2014 The BAD: Water pump MUST be replaced, the bearings and seal failed, happened close to home and gauge went to red, coolant leaked out, but engine did not overheat = shut off immediately and got it home The brake lines from the front to the rear MUST be replaced = they are rusty and would not trust them for myself/my family or other drivers on the road. MUST be replaced. A length of metal fuel line underneath the car SHOULD be replaced. It has a rusty section and don't trust it for myself/my family. History of the vehicle: My wife inherited this vehicle from her Uncle who lived in Ontario. He worked for Chrysler Corporation up there. It was kept in a garage but of course was subjected to the salt used to treat the Canadian winter roads. The exterior and interior are quite nice but the brake lines and metal fuel line suffered from the salt. We got it last August. I changed over the speedometer from a kilometer gauged Canadian vehicle to a standard U.S speedometer. The miles are ACTUAL. The computer stores the mileage and automatically converted it from metric to english. It was my intent to prepare the vehicle in perfect order for my teenage son to start driving. I put on the best Michelin tires, did a full tune up, new Costco battery, new front brakes, new muffler and rear tail pipe and detailed it. But, since that time have noticed the brake lines and fuel line condition. The water pump just went out on it. I simply don't have any more time to invest in it. NADA ROUGH trade in value is $837 and NADA clean retail is $2912, so I am starting bidding off at $800.
