2001 CUSTOM Ford Lightning This Lightning has done it all..Won Best of Show (beating 250 other ford vehicles) to winning national FFW and NMRA racing events. Was a feature truck in Muscle Mustang and Fast Fords magazine .. You can race it on the track or drive it to a cruise in. EVERYTHING WAS PROFESSIONALLY BUILT Chassis -Truck has a one-off 4 link Frame off build by Joe Gambino. We started with a stock Lightning frame and boxed the whole frame and C-notched then Joe Gambino built a professional 4 link setup.that is incredible...also built in driveshaft loop. Rack and pinion setup built into front of chassis. -REAR- Strange Engineering 9 inch rear with Strange pumpkin with Detroit locker and 40 spline axles 4:10 gears . Also strange racing brakes and beefier 5/8 studs. Bogart 15x14 custom wheels with champion beadlock with a 31x16 Mickey Thompson tire on rear for that Pro street look.Also strange dual adjustable shocks and springs -Front has JJs custom lower control arms and strange double adjustable shocks riding on Bogart 14x5 wheels -Custom one-off fuel cell and battery tray that was put under the bed so you have full bed access..and even though truck has a fuel cell you can still go to the gas station and fill up in the stock fuel door. -Truck has custom NHRA 8.50 cert. cage that is built right into the truck like its not even there..Again Joe Gambino did a excellent job -Bed is tubbed and custom bedrug made. MOTOR -JDM built 5.4 short block built by Anthony Disoma and has JDM stage 2 heads with a 3.4 Whipple and custom Trick intercooler all professionally built.Dynos 700 RWHP on pump gas and 800 RWHP on C16..Truck has run best of 10.21 w/o pushing it. Motor has about 2000 miles on it TRANSMISSION -Just rebuilt less then 2 months ago by A! transmissions EXTERIOR -Custom flames by Terry DeLong (he has done many SEMA cars) Also Lightning has 3 inch dual exhaust coming out driver and passenger side -Just put a brand new front Lightning bumper on, also has Lund rollpan and Cervini wing all painted to match perfect -Interior has Expedition console with bucket seats and lot of carbon fiber pieces.
