Vehicle Detail
I AM LISTING THIS CAR FOR A FRIEND WHO'S ELDERLY FATHER DIED 2 YEARS AGO. HE WAS THE ORIGINAL OWNER WHO HAD PURCHASED IT A FEW YEARS BEFORE RETIRING. HE & HIS WIFE JUST USED IT LOCALLY AROUND TOWN AFTER RETIREMENT, HENCE THE LOW MILEAGE. IT WAS RETITLED TO THE SON IN LAW 2 YEARS AGO SO THEY COULD KEEP THE INSURANCE GOING. I DROVE IT A FEW WEEKS AGO & IT RUNS GREAT. OPENED THE HOOD TO CHECK OUT THE ENGINE & IT RUNS QUIET & VERY SMOOTH. NICE RIDE. AIR CONDITIONING DOESN'T WORK, COULD BE JUST A RECHARGE, POWER STEERING WHINES A LITTLE WHEN FIRST STARTED BUT THEN GOES AWAY. LITTLE RUST HERE & THERE & BODY PIECE NEEDS TO BE REPLACES IN FRONT OF REAR BUMPER. I'VE TRIED TO SHOW ALL THIS WITH PICTURES. INSIDE IS 90% GREAT, PICTURES SHOW ANY PROBLEMS. WAS ALWAYS SERVICED BY HIS LOCAL MECHANIC ALTHOUGH WE CAN'T FIND ANY OF HIS REPAIR SLIPS. IT'S AN 8 CYLINDER, AUTOMATIC. WAS GARAGE KEPT, SOMETIMES BEING IN THE DRIVEWAY. HE WAS A NON-SMOKER. CAR IS IN BOGOTA NJ. I WILL BE HAPPY TO SUPPLY SOMEONE WITH ANY ADDITIONAL PICTURES OR INFORMATION THEY WOULD LIKE. SEND ME YOUR EMAIL. AS MENTIONED THE CAR IS IN BOGOTA, NJ & YOU ARE WELCOME TO COME SEE &TEST DRIVE. ++++JUST ADDED INFO ON 9/17: POWER STEERING WHINING IS GONE JUST NEEDED TO BE TOPPED OFF WITH FLUID. I ALSO JUST INCLUDED A PHOTO OF A SMALL' 1/4" BURN ON THE DRIVER'S SEAT WHICH LOOKS LIKE A CIGARETTE BURN. FAMILY CAN'T EXPLAIN IT SINCE HE WAS A NON-SMOKER BUT I WANTED TO POINT IT OUT. HEADER PANEL IS PERFECT. REST OF THE SEATS ARE IN FANTASTIC SHAPE.+++9/21/Update. Some one has asked if the vehicle had been in an accident because the front bumper was in deeper toward the body on the drivers side compared to the passenger side which also made the header panel appear tilted in at the bottom a little increasing the space between hood & header panel. Showed to a mechanic today & he said the bumper was hit on the drivers side & it pushed in with a piston that's mounted to the body. It's kind of the equivalent of the 5 MPH bumper. It did push in far enough to tilt the header panel at the bottom which has increased the space between the hood & header panel just a bit.He also pointed out to me that it has been repainted with most likely some small areas of body repair. Please reach out to me with any other questions.
