Gorgeous, vintage 1964 Karmann Ghia convertible for sale. This car is a beautiful and strong running driver, with classic looks that get attention. It’s a Texas car with a good, solid body—it was completely restored by a previous owner sometime around 2008. Chrome, glass, sills, and trim are original and still in good shape. Cloth top is good condition, and goes up and down easily. Headliner needs some restitching along the edges of the rear driver and passenger side. Interior is in excellent condition—seats are clean, rip-free, and comfortable. Dash and door panels are in great shape, too. Lights, horns, and wipers work. I had all carpeting completely replaced in 2013, and added new, beautiful sisal mats. Paint is overall in good condition and shines. There are a couple of small scratches, nicks, and tiny dents in a couple of places—see detailed photos. Fun and comfortable to drive—car is overall in excellent working order and everything is operable. It starts well and has plenty of power and smooth shifting. The brakes, steering and suspension all feel good. We’ve driven it to the Texas VW Classic and it got surprisingly good mileage over distance (average 30 mpg). We’ve enjoyed taking it to area cruise-ins and car shows. As an older restoration, it's not going to win the car show but it will definitely turn heads. I always get compliments when I take it out.
