This is a 1948 Chrysler Business Coupe Hot Rod Project. The original car was in a state of disrepair to the point that the original owner removed the body from the old frame, cut out the floor pan in both the cab and trunk, replaced them with all new steel. With the removal of the body from the old chassis, the coupe body was placed on the frame of a 1980 Ford LTD. This gives the car its disc brakes and steering linkage along with the tilt column. The 351M/400 Ford SB was also installed and is in running condition. The car has had frenched taillights and license plate cut in and the buckets for the headlights are in the car. This is still a project as the final smoothing of taillights and license plate are incomplete. All chrome trim and glass come with the car. The radio and interior chrome and heater are there too. Although a project, this car is 75% complete. The car will make a great hotrod with a forward rake angle based off the suspension. There are seats installed but more for moving the car around than as a permanent fixture. This car is primed and sanded and almost ready to be painted. All of the glass is present including the almost impossible to find back glass. All of the chrome is in good serviceable shape and ready to install back on the car. The original intent of the project was a restomod with hotrod equipment but the old school chrome flare. These car are very rare with only1600 being produced from 1946-48. It has an aggressive lean already with the rear jacked up higher than the front. All flooring is new. Steering column from the donor car.
