1964 CORVETTE CONVERTIBLE 327/365hp w/4-speed is available for bid. This is a driver quality car and needs some TLC. It has a numbers matching engine with Muncie trans and posi rear. The clutch, alternator and Holley carb are new. There is no power anything on this car. No power steering, brakes, radio, etc. Soft top only in pretty good shape. The car undercarriage has no rust what so ever. Repeat, none, not even surface rust. The car has not seen rain in over 25 years. It was stored in a complete climate controlled facility. The front-end has been replaced with a 1966 at some point which has to have been long before it was stored. It appears to have a 67 hood on as well. It was customized with headlight elimination as you can see from photos. There are no cracks in the body and no structural damage at all. The paint shines well and presentable but not perfect and probably not painted by a professional. The engine was rebuilt about 1500 miles ago according to previous owner and has a mild, solid lifter cam which was factory for a 365hp from what I can gather. Runs extremely strong and smooth with new exhaust. The engine number is 4101956 F0911RE with stock intake and heads from what it appears. The car has only one minor leak which is the rear seal of the trans at the drive shaft. The interior needs a bit of work such as new seat covers and pads. It was a radio delete car and someone cut the opening for a radio although, they did a nice job. Speedo works, temp works, and oil press works. The tach does not appear to be original because of the 5300 red line and should be a 6500. The tach does work with an "Accel" dual point distributor which does have the tach cable. The interior used to be red which was painted many years back with vinyl paint which was popular back in the day. The brake system was completely rebuilt. From pads, lines, cylinders and drums. The rest of the suspension appears to be original but still pretty tight. The wipers do not work at this point but we are working on it. Some weather stripping is very dry. Take a good look at the photos, we tried to show as much as possible including the vin# and engine #.
