Vehicle Detail
OverviewThis Blazer is in excellent running condition and has always been garaged. In fact, the exterior paint looks practically brand new from the factory! Paint is in excellent condition, with no fading or peeling at all (due to it being garaged and in CA mild weather conditions). Miles are all highway miles. Engine oil and filter is changed every 3,000 to 5,000 miles and transmission oil every 50,000 miles. The only external defect is a short scratch on the hatch back door and a small dent on the right front fender, both of which are clearly shown in the pictures. The carpets are a little dirty, as I have not had the car detailed this year. All of the interior trims and the leather seats are in excellent condition. I will leave the professionally installed Yaesu 2M/440 amateur (HAM) radio system because taking it out would leave a couple of hold in the center console. In the descriptions below, I tried to be as transparent as possible and provided as much details needed to describe the condition of the car. Overall, the vehicle is extremely reliable and there are no safety problems. I am the original owner and purchased it brand new in 1999 as a GM employee. Latest ServicesDuring the last 50,000 miles, the following new parts have been installed:All 4 shocks and strutsAll 4 tires (like new)New AC compressorNew fuel pumpNew water pump, timing belt and all rubber beltsBoth left and right lower control arms, boot assembliesLast transmission oil service at 200,000 milesKnown Problems/DefectsFuel gauge not accurate. I use trip odometer to determine when to gas up. A full tank gives approx. 235 miles.Emergency hazard light switch broken. Hood release latch works intermittently. To open hood, several unlatching and pushing down on hood is sometimes needed. I suspect the cable is stretched.Rear hatch door has a scratch. It was scratched by my garage door when I had the hatch open and I closed the garage door and it rubbed against it.Minor dent on front right fender. I dented it with my hand when I pushed on the fender with my hand. Dent can be easily fixed using any paint less process. The car starts up fine when cold but takes 2 cranks when hot. Mechanic says it might need a tune up. Checked fuel pressure and no problems found.Extra FeaturesK&N cold intake filter system installed when vehicle was newAlpine stereo system installed about 2 years ago2M/440 Yaesu mobile radio system professionally installedEnhanced exhaust system installedPayment and ShippingBank check preferred or cashBuyer is expected to pick up vehicle or pay for shipping if out of stateBuyer is expected to file the proper DMV forms to transfer vehicle
