Vehicle Detail
Here is a classic, stock as you can get, daily driver. A two-owner Mustang, purchased from Vasek Polak, Hermosa Beach, in 1970 by the present owner. The good: No major accidents. Always garaged. Backseat rarely used. Everything is original to a fault, including the AM radio. Starts every time and runs fairly well, but not too far, see "The Bad" below. Good enough for test drives however. Body straight, back bumper straight, front bumper bent, see photos. Always been a Southern California Car. The 289 was rebuilt about 200,000 miles ago. Transmission works well. "The Bad". Power steering fluid leak (large leak). Power steering works fine as long as you feed it its perpetual diet of power steering fluid. Right rear wheel cylinder leaks brake fluid. Liberal use of red duct tape to hold the seats togeather. Engine runs well, but has what sounds like a collapsed lifter, makes a tick tick tick sound, but seems to run on all cylinders. Car chronically overheats If driven more than a few miles, replaced thermostat, but that is not the issue, problem has not been diagnosed further. You will need to tow it if you live more than five miles from Vista, Ca (San Diego County). Car makes a clunk sound from the rear sometimes, also has not been diagnosed, sounds like the exhaust hitting the body? Original paint is tired and chipped. This Mustang is being sold "as is". No warranty is implied.
