Vehicle Detail

1967 Ford Fairlane 5002-door hardtop, 302 V8, C4 automaticRuns and drivesLow reserve! Up for bid is a solid Ford Fairlane that I am listing it for a friend that is not computer savvy. So if you have any questions beyond what I've described here, please don't hesitate to message me and I will forward my friend's phone number to you for a more personal explanation. This car has been his daily driver since last September (2014) when he got the car roadworthy. Originally, the car had a 6 cylinder but a 302 V8 from a 1977-78 Ford pickup was added some time back. Also added was a C4 automatic transmission. Both engine and transmission function well, 1989 Mustang heads were added to the engine, as well as a Weiand aluminum intake with an Edelbrock 600 carburetor. Also, a competition cam added, plus electronic distributor, MSD coil, and full-length headers all from Summit Racing. Glasspack mufflers were installed also. The only thing under the hood needing attention is the driver side motor mount needs replacing. The engine and transmission mileage are unknown. New outer tie rods and front struts and shocks have been added, yet it still could use inner tie rods and idler arm replaced. The body is mostly all original, the original yellow paint still there on all but the driver front fender obviously. I tried to photograph all the rust, which is limited to the lower driver door, the lower passenger fender, and both rear quarters have a minimal amount. The hood has functioning pins, the trunk has sag disease and needs a prop to stay open, and the driver door needs a regulator as the window is wedged in place now. All the glass is good. The floors are good, except the driver side front, which has been patched with license plates. Also note the patch on the tunnel where a floor shifter was mounted at some point. The body is quite solid, a few bumps and wrinkles here and there, but that's the original paint! The interior speaks for itself! The seats need recovering and someone had tried to paint the seats white at some point. The dash is cracked. The door panels look good, and the headliner is useable as is. The windshield wipers don't work and there is no radio, but everything else works fine. The red switch on the left of the steering wheel is for the electric fan. The wheels are Centerline look-alikes from Summit, 15 x 4-1/2 on the front and 15 x 8 on the back, giving it a good stance. Overall the car is pretty solid. It can be taken to the next level or just enjoy as is. It is located in Macon, Georgia, and will need to be picked up from here. There is a low reserve so please bid responsibly. Again, if you have any further questions, please let me know and I'll put you in touch with the owner who did most of the work himself. Thank you for looking!
