Vehicle Detail
Turnkey project, new battery, new fuel in cleaned system. Starts, runs, drives well. Looks like a fresh Twincam motor in there running very nicely on twin 40 DCOE Webbers. TRD exhaust, MSD ignition. Very clean car with no accident damage, looks like it was stripped down for paint, engine bay is very clean original orange paint, good cooling system etc. Exhaust is tight, clutch and brakes good. It looks to me like the whole car was done properly before being abandoned. TRD lowering done right, some kind of 'locker' in the rear axle? Nice new looking Panasports and the right fender flares. All the body fittings come with the car, nice grille and lights, door trim, door panels etc etc, see 'condition description' This car was built september 1975, all the vin plates are good and intact. Blue Cali licence plates, correct bonded liensale just completed as this was abandoned several years ago and needs to be moved on to a good home. Liensale papers all nice and easy for export or domestic shipping. New owner just takes the paperwork to their local DMV to transfer. I'm a British car guy, and I don't know much about these. It's a nice looking little coupe with a twin cam motor and almost perfect body shell that's 40 years old. I know if I was looking for an Escort from the same era, I'd think it was Christmas if I found one in this condition. As a basis for a historic Rally project or circuit or drift car, it's perfect. The new owner will not be disappointed, and feel free to contact me with any questions or offers. I can get this shipped no problem if needed. I've got to move this out of here fairly quickly, so I'm not going to hang around waiting to get paid. If I don't get a $500 deposit by Paypal within 24hours of the result, as far as I'm concerned, the deal is off, and I'll be offering it to anyone else who has cash in hand and isn't going to waste my time. ThankyouOn Aug-15-15 at 10:28:22 PDT, seller added the following information: OK, I've got to add this because I've had a lot of really dumb questions. The pictures and description are quite clear. Anyone who knows what they're looking at can see quite clearly this is a project, and is sold as such. Yes, it's a turnkey running deal, but obviously there's no smog on it. It's not legal to drive. Does it need a smog? I've no idea, check with DMV. The law in California is quite clear, '76 models and on need a smog. This was built September '75. Apart from this, this project has obviously had an engine swop, so is not 'original equipment'. And, I've never heard of a vehicle getting smogged while running twin '40 DCOE's, so please, if you don't have guts to take on a project and fight your own corner with DMV standing on your own two feet, just move on and look for something else. I did the Lien sale all correctly because I wanted to be quite clear that I'm legally allowed to sell this, even though the original Paperwork is lost. So yes, it's on DMV records and I am the lien holder. No, I don't have DMV records for it. If you want the records, use the VIN and do a check.
