1955 Thunderbird in original condition that has only been painted once. For the first 45 years of its life it belonged to a West Palm Beach socialite and the car was only used during the vacation season. The car along with the many other cars the family owned were maintained by their own on premise mechanic and to this day the car purrs like a kitten. The car is equipped with manual 3 speed overdrive. Upon inspection one will know that the car has been painted by a very high end Palm Beach painter and was painted before the car was given to the caretaker in around 2000. Also the front bumper has been rechromed. The mechanic gave up the car about 5 years ago and it has continued to receive the care it deserves and has never been out in the weather. This is undoubtedly a rare find especially to have 3 speed with overdrive. The hardtop not pictured, has a nice original headliner but could use paint from being knocked around in the garage. The correct soft top replacement is new and not sure how old it is but it still looks new and couldn't be the original fabric in my opinion. It is correct. This is a 100% garaged rust free Florida car born in Dearborn where the best cars came from. Because of the age, the car is being sold as is but I can assure you the only thing that does not work is the clock and the car runs beautifully. This is no reserve auction and will be sold to the highest better but I do reserve the right to end the auction early As I am going to Pass the fact that the car is available by word of mouth.
