What a special find indeed, low Production Numbers, Texas Solid History, and heavy options to boot. Let's call this one True Survivor down to the original Black Factory Lacquer Patina Paint. So Here's the story .......A very well-to-do Houston businessman kept this car for decades at a private Ranch/Airstrip in the Hill Country of the Great State of Texas. When he flew in, this was his go to town car on standby inside a barn for literally decades. Tootle around town vehicle, or back to Houston when his Airplane was not running good, and that's pretty much it. Acquired by one of my valued clients in the 1990's from the Estate, light repair and some light cosmetic work performed on the car around the that era, and the car has sat in storage until offered for sale now. So done with the fluffy stuff, and this heavily optioned example includes... A/CPower SteeringPower BrakesPower WindowsPower Rear Window Third Row SeatAM Radio (works) And More........ Top of the line back in the day, longer Wheelbase than your run of the mill Catalina with less than 5000 produced, so rare find, big options. 389 V-8 Motor rebuilt in the late 1980's top and bottom with all original Factory Paint on the Block manifold and heads retained, driven very little, runs strong, sounds strong. Factory Original Transmission shifts firm, lot drive Brakes, and the Suspension,Transmission, Steering, all tight. Super straight body, and arguably 100 Percent original paint with no dents or dings, excellent Body Panel fit and free of collision. Exterior Trim items are in absolutely amazing condition including all Glass Panels. Interior is all original with the exception of Carpet, Dash Pad re-upholstered and a few other trim tasks performed long ago. Texas Solid Body, and the Undercarriage is rock solid, no excuses. No amount of restoration expertise can surpass this, and why would one want to. To restore this car cosmetically would be a crime. Your decision when you buy it.Engine was rebuilt in the 1990's so no major mechanical motor work required. Aero-Bee......., and those who appreciate originality will be all over this one.
