Vehicle Detail

UP FOR AUCTION IS A 1953 CHEVY 3100 SHORTBED PICKUP. THE TRUCK STARTS AND DRIVES GREAT. ITS A BLAST TO DRIVE.I have spent a lot of time and money on this truck. The engine is a stock lower 350CI SBC with edlebrock intake and carb, brand new oil pump, fuel pump, water pump, starter, timing set, distributor and alternator. It also has new valve covers, breather and aluminum timing cover. The transmission is turbo 350 that shifts good and has new filter. The rear end is from a 3rd gen Camaro. I am not sure the gear set. I do know that the front pinion seal will need replaced eventually. The radiator is a brand new bolt in aluminum unit that was made for this truck and also has a built in transmission cooler. The brake master cylinder and booster are new aftermarket, and mounted on the frame for a cleaner under hood look. This truck has new brake and fuel lines. The front suspension came from speedway motors. It consists of weld in Mustang II cross member disk brakes and polished aluminum steering rack. The steering column came from a 2nd gen Camaro. The truck drives great fast or slow. As for interior, I had the original seat professionally recovered, I replaced the door panels and headliner. I installed a new glove box liner and lock. I have new carpet, kick panels and weather strip for the truck that I will include in the auction. I installed a EZ wire 12 circuit mini fuse wiring kit. I installed Dolphin gauges. I didn’t really care for the quad gauge look, so I spent the extra money and put a 5” tach in the dash and mounted the other 4 smaller gauges in a finned aluminum panel under the dash. It looks really cool, especially when they are all lit up. The truck has new headlight switch, new dimmer switch new headlights and new rear stop lights. The glass was all professionally replaced and looks great. The bed is one of my favorite parts of this build, I think it turned out really well. (New wood, strips and hardware) The truck has steel 15” X 7 wheels on front and 15" X 8 on rear from summit with bowtie centers. The tires were not new, but would get someone by for a while. The body has been blasted and painted with Hot Rod black. When it returned from the blaster I realized that the cab corners had been replaced once before, but they did not do a great job. I have purchased new cab corners for it, but I have not installed them. I will include them in the sale. I put a brand new reproduction smooth tailgate on, and placed a 1958 Chevrolet emblem on it. I really like the way these look. I also put new reproduction emblems on the hood, and new reproduction bezels around the headlights. It would be easy to smooth the body and make this a nice street rod, or add your own "fauxtina", or leave the character and just enjoy driving this truck... **I NEED THIS TRUCK TO SELL, SO I HAVE A LOW RESERVE ON IT.** THE TRUCK IS SOLD "AS IS" WITH NO WARRANTY, I HAVE THE TRUCK FOR SALE LOCALLY SO I HAVE THE RIGHT TO END THE AUCTION EARLY. THE WINNING BIDDER IS RESPONSIBLE FOR PICKING UP THE TRUCK OR FOR SHIPPING COSTS. A $500.00 DEPOSIT IS REQUIRED WITHIN 48 HRS. OF BIDDING CLOSING A FULL PAYMENT IS REQUIRED WITH IN 7 DAYS OF AUCTION CLOSING. I HAVE GIVEN A DESCRIPTION OF THE TRUCK BUT MY OPINION MAY VARY FROM SOMEONE ELSES.
