For sale is my beloved 2004 525i with the rare 6 speed gear box. Car looks good and motor runs great, but dealer says it needs new catalytic converters. My wife says sell the car. If you are handy with exhaust repairs, this could be a bargain. I bought the car as a Certified Pre-Owned in 2007 when it only had 17k miles on it and I am the second owner. Since then I have used it as a daily commuter where I had to drive long distances. The 209650 miles it has now are primarily highway miles. I haven’t driven this car hard and regularly get 34-35 mpg on long distance trips. Notable optional equipment includes moon roof, premium stereo and 6 disc CD changer, leather power heated seats and heated steering wheel, xenon headlights, autodimming mirror with homelink system and rear window sunblinds. Note – there is no Bluetooth and no Navigation. Body is in nice shape with no accidents and no dents and has been garage kept. It does have minor scratches, bumper marks, and the inevitable “road rash” you’d expect from a car this age. Interior has no rips or tears, but floor mats are worn and there is an ink stain on the rear seat from a wet newspaper I left in the car too long and a smaller one on the driver’s seat. Cigarette lighter loose and ash tray cover does not close. This is a non smoking car and cigarette lighter works and has been used as a phone charger. Passenger cupholder spring broken but can be opened manually. Clear title and clean Carfax which shows most of the care I’ve given to this vehicle. I have maintained this car! For example, it got the complete 200,000 mile recommended service including spark plug changes.
