Up for sale is a beautiful 2nd gen Cummins. This truck is an excellent example of what a true survivor pickup should represent. I bought this truck from Texas with the intend of bringing it back to the east coast to sale. The truck was purchased new as a retirement gift by an older man, and he sold it to me at the ripe old age of 84. The truck was owned by this same man until I drove it back to SC just a few weeks ago. The truck was always garaged, detailed, and serviced regularly. It's never been smoked in or had pets in it. It was never used to haul heavy loads. The engine is bone stock, and even the exhaust is original. The truck has the coveted 5-speed manual NV4500 transmission with a US Gear Vendors Overdrive / Gear Splitter. The overdrive works amazingly, and I got around 24 actual MPG on my drive home from Dallas. The truck cruises amazingly well on the highway. The overdrive allows you to cruise at 80 or 85 while turning very low RPMs which keeps it nice and quite in the cab and drastically improves mileage. At 70mph the truck turns around 1600 rpm. The seat cushions are firm. There are zero leaks. Everything on this truck works as it should. The AC is cold and the heat is hot. When checking the code history with the key check there are no codes shown. This leads me to believe that the injector pump still has much life left in it, and I see no signs of excessive blow-bye. ***note this truck is 2wd.
