With the help of Volkswagen, and a mid-engine design offering balanced weight distribution and exceptionally nimble handling characteristics, Porsche offered the 914 alongside the 912 in the 4 cylinder lineup. Not only was it quickly recognized as an inexpensive way to own a Porsche, it was soon nicknamed the “Poor Man’s Porsche” even among enthusiasts! A reputation of being quick, reliable, loaded with sporty attributes, and offering respectable gas mileage, they continue to be highly sought after for weekend cruising, or slightly modified for weekend racing!! Offered here is a 1970 Porsche 914 with a black Targa top and with matching correct body color over black interior.The car was stored for a couple years - when rocking car in gear, engine will not turn over - may be frozen - not runningHeat exchangers and muffler come with car - are off car now. Very solid with some rust on rt passenger floor area (see picture) Interior in very nice shape except for left seat bottom and cracks in dash. This Porsche would make a nice restoration. Comes with original owners manual. I encourage buyers to physically look at this car if possible before bidding.
