Vehicle Detail
For sale is our project 1973 Dodge Adventurer D200 3/4 ton Club Cab pick up. We bought it for a project for my son and I and 4 days later we found a Dodge Power Wagon that was what he really wanted, so now with 2 projects and moving in 2 weeks, we need to thin the herd. Rust free and accident free. I Have not seen any evidence of accident damage or repair to this.Engine turns over by hand. The previous owner installed a "Painless" wiring harness and said it ran fine. I jumped the starter and I think the starter needs to come out as the solenoid kicks, but the starter motor does not turn. There is a new, just before he parked it, carburetor on the engine. This is a fairly clean truck given its age. You can see from the pictures the panels and lack of body rust. The storage compartment on the passenger side is in excellent condition. Of all the trucks I looked at, this was the only one that was not rusted out. (We looked at 10 or 12 trucks before we bought this one). The bed is NOT rusty or rotted, but it has seen use. If you really want a picture, let me know and I will send you some. I am using it for body parts storage right now as I am sorting parts before I move.I have a clean California title in my name. The truck is on non-op with the state, so there are no back fees.I have an ignition key, but no door key.I don't currently have a trailer that will transport this, this may change in the next few weeks as I have ordered a new flat bed trailer, but they were a little vague on the delivery date. I don't think it will fit in my enclosed trailer as I don't think it will fit between the wheels of the trailer. If you have any questions or want to talk to me, send me your number and a good time to call. Email any questions or pictures desired and I will do my best to get back to you as soon as possible. I do work during the day, so sometimes it is hard to respond until I get home.It will NOT drive away from my house. At the very least you will need to clean the fuel system, do the brakes, change all the fluids and I think rebuild the starter and maybe even deal with possible rodent damage to the wiring harness. That is MINIMUM!That being said, this is a great start for a project, rat rod, resto mod or what ever you want. Always start with the best body you can afford. Body work is more labor intensive and costly than mechanical work on most vehicles.I was told it was 111,000 mile truck. I don't know for sure. I was also told the engine and trans were rebuilt about 15000 miles before it was parked, but no paperwork to prove it. Thanks!
