Vehicle Detail

Item Description: - This listing is for my 1997 Saab 9000 Aero, as most of you know 1997 is the last year you could get an Aero. I acquired the car in November 2012 and I've performed a ton of work on it since purchasing it. I'm the son of a Master Saab tech so I've done a lot of the work personally and can say without a doubt the car has been well cared for. If you've been in the market for a 9000 Aero this is your car, you won't find one in better running condition. If you have any questions about the car or would like to see more detailed pictures of something please don't hesitate to ask, I'll do my best to describe the vehicle in the listing. Work performed on car: - Engine was fully rebuilt less than 10,000 miles ago, the list of parts/replaced was as follows. Balance shaft chain gear, balance shaft chain, balance shaft chain guide, thermostat, upper radiator hose, heater core hose, heater core, rod bearing set, main bearing set, rear crankshaft seal, new oil pump seal, timing chain, guide rail, oil pump, water pump, head gasket, valve cover gasket, oil pump o-ring, exhaust manifold gasket, intake manifold gasket, spark plugs, serpentine belt, rebuilt bosch starter, new battery, front lower motor mount, rear lower motor mount, transmission mount, upper motor mount, silicone vacuum lines, oil change, oil filter, and I'm sure I'm forgetting stuff but you get the idea. The transmission was also serviced with a new slave cylinder, new release bearing, and the clutch was done about 30,000 miles ago. Turbo is still in excellent condition and appears to have been replaced just prior to me getting the car, shaft is nice and tight with no play. I've also installed a Genuine Saab cold air intake, and swapped the turn signals to the clear euro style one's with smoked fender markers like you find on the newer generation Saab's. Mechanical Condition: - This Aero is probably one of the strongest running 9000's on the market, runs almost like a stage 2 (gauge pulls to the end of the red). - Everything works just as it should, A/C blows cold, heat works excellent in the winter, even the seat heaters still function. - The car needs absolutely nothing aside from rear brakes and tires within the next summer or two, she's ready to go for another 100K easy. - The car currently has 215/55/16 Hankook Ventus tires on it that have about 40% life left. Exterior Condition: - Being a Colorado car it's virtually rust free, but there is a small amount of rust starting on the A-pillar at the windshield which can be fixed. - The paint is all original and still shines beautifully, I wax and buff the paint every few months. - The body is perfectly straight. - As to be expected of a car this age it does have it's share of scratches and a small ding or two but overall nothing too big. - Has the original more desirable Aero wheels with the polished lips. - The worst thing on the exterior is the cracked front valence which I'll be including a replacement one that should be repairable. Interior Condition: - The car's interior is in pretty good shape aside from the driver's side seat which is pretty toast, the rest of the interior is great though including the leather door panels, steering wheel, and shift boot. - I'm a non-smoker so the car has never been smoked inside and smells clean. - Radio is an aftermarket Sony unit with a CD player, remote, and aux hookup for an iPod or other device. Extras: - Comes with 2 keys and 2 remotes. - Along with the car I'll include a set of genuine Saab roof racks and many other various parts like switches, relays, lights, etc. Payment: Please make a $500 deposit within 24 hours of the auction/listing ending and full payment within 7 days, I only accept Paypal, certified check, or cash in person. Shipping: Shipping will be the buyers responsibility, but I'd be happy to drive the car to the Colorado Springs Airport if you're flying in personally to pick it up and drive it back.
