Vehicle Detail
I purchased my project car two and a half years ago and I really don’t want to sell it, but work, kids and a new house have gotten in the way. This is a partially completed classic car project and it is not ready to drive yet, but it would be ideal for a car project enthusiast or someone who needs donor parts for another Triumph Spitfire (or similar late 70’s British car). The engine worked when I purchased the car but the brakes were not great, so I have replaced the master brake cylinder and various brake hoses. I have purchased some replacement brake pipes (included) but they have not been fitted or the system bled. I have replaced the battery and the engine filter and I am including various spare parts that I received with the car (including a soft top and a hardtop roof). The previous owner replaced all the carpets and there is still some more to be done to the interior, but the next part of the project that I had intended tackling was the bodywork and chassis. There is a lot of work to be done on the body including welding on the x-frame chassis. The previous owner added quite a lot of Bondo and paint to the rear panels and I suggest that the next owner considers replacing these panels completely. It is difficult to list all the items that need work, because it depends if you want to do a full car restoration, just perform repairs or part it out, so please look closely at the pictures before bidding. The low starting price of this auction reflects that this is a partially completed project and not a finished car. This car is registered in Texas, but it will need a state inspection before it can be driven legally. The buyer will be responsible for shipping the car on a trailer or car transporter. I am happy to answer questions.
