Vehicle Detail
Up for auction is a my very nice 1975 Triumph TR-6 ( 4 speed non-overdrive ). As you can see the car is in nice driver quality condition and I just had the car completely serviced and new tires installed. I will make every effort to detail everything about the car so all interested will be fully informed prior to bidding. Mechanicals: The car runs and drives like a dream! The engine bay is highly original right down to the original smog pump, emissions systems and the original Telcate oil filter. The car was just professionally serviced which included a complete tune up, carburetors balanced & tuned, oil changed, oil filter replaced, air filters replaced, transmission fluid serviced, rear end fluid serviced and all other fluids topped off, new heater control valve installed, new heater control cable installed, new battery was installed and 4 new tires installed. Other recent work ( within the last 2000 miles ) was completed such as a new clutch, new alternator, new fan belt, new complete exhaust system ( stainless steel ) and some hoses where replaced. The car starts right up with no issues or smoke. The brakes and clutch peddles are strong and firm. The car shifts up / down through all the gears with no issues. Steering is tight and responsive and she handles very well on the road. Electrical's: This area is in great condition. The following items are in proper working order: headlights ( high & low beam ) work , wipers work, front & rear turn signals work, front & rear running lights work, brake lights work, backup lights work, license plate lights work, dash gauge lights work, dash indicator / warning lights work, blower fan works and the radio works. Note: the radio is a JVC brand and was just installed last week. Gauges: All gauges are correct and original "Smith" brand. Interior: Is in nice condition and I'll let the photos speak for its condition. Note: The seats where completely redone, new door panels installed, new rear cockpit panel kit and the sun visors replaced about a year or so ago. Also, I just installed new Triumph logo floor mats. Exterior: The car looks very nice but still should be considered as a " driver" quality car due to a few paint chips here and there ( don't want you thinking your getting a show car at half price ). The paint code is #72 "Pimento Red" and has held up nicely over the years. The car sits nicely on the ground with no visible signs leaning or sagging. Look at how well the body, hood, trunk and doors fit. As seen all body panels, hood, trunk and doors are very straight. The rocker panels are solid and in nice condition. Again, brand new tires on all 4 corners. Soft Top: The soft top is in very good condition and is "cloth" not the vinyl type. This was is a high end upgrade and looks nice and sets the car apart from most you seat out there. Tops / Covers: Yes the car does come with a top cover and Tonneau cover ( covers the entire cockpit when the top is down). Trunk: The truck is rock solid. The car has a spare tire. Underbody: This area looks unbelievably solid as seen in the auction photo. I due have many more underbody photos available upon request. Shipping: If you need to have the car shipped to your location here in the states you can get a fast and free online quote from Able Auto Transport at: http://www.ableautotransport.com/ Overseas Bidders: Yes the auction is open to overseas bidders. The auction is open to overseas bidders and if you need to ship overseas try Schumacher Cargo Logistics shipping for fast free quotes ( http://www.schumachercargo.com/ ). I'm not an expert and my opinion of the car may vary from yours so please look at the photos closely and if you need more information or extra photos let me know prior to bidding. I know how hard it is to purchase a car online so please ask any and all questions you have prior to bidding or if you can come see and drive the car for yourself ( I really encourage you to do so ) as I want the winning bidder to be satisfied with the car when it arrives. No warranties / guarantees are expressed or implied. A $500 non-refundable deposit is due within 48 hours of auctions end time.On Jul-11-15 at 08:45:31 PDT, seller added the following information: Hello All, I have had much interest in the car and want to answer a few questions that keep coming up. Reserve Price: The car is selling this weekend to the high bidder of the auction so no guess work about a reserve price. Title: Yes I have a clear North Carolina title in my name and current address ( same as the cars pick up location ). Pick Up Location: The car is located at my house in Stanfield NC 28163 Soft Top: Yes it is cloth and is in nice condition with no rips or tears. Its down most of the time so it would benefit from a light cleaning. Gauges: Yes they are all correct "Smith" gauges. all are working but it should be noted that the speedometer bounces around at low speeds. Its a 2 parts cable and I'm not sure if its the upper or lower cable that needs replacing. Do fret I'll order a new upper and lower cable and them shipped directly to the new owner. Underbody: Yes it's solid as shown in the auction photo. I do have many detailed underbody photos available upon request. Paint Chips: Yes there are a few and do show up in the auction photos if you use the "zoom" feature. If you can't see them please contact me and I'll send you close up photos. I hope all this helps and please feel free to contact me with any and all questions you might have at anytime. Again, please ask your questions prior to bidding as the car is selling this week and I want the new owner to be pleased with the car when it arrives at it's new home. On Jul-11-15 at 11:16:06 PDT, seller added the following information: All- Sorry meant to say " Don't fret" the new speedometer cables will be sent directly to the new owner. Cheers,
