Vehicle Detail
For sale 2006 Z4 M coupe.I purchased this car from an estate sale in 2014. This car belonged to Ron Stygar and is the 1ST Z4M COUPE PRODUCED AND SOLD IN THE US, with limited production numbres it is definitely a collector’s car. Ron Stygar is an engineer and a well known and respceted BMW enthusiast and he took extraordinary care of this car, all of the maintenance was done by Ron personally and recorded on BMW forums. I will only specify a few important maintenance and prevention jobs that Ron preformed. Ok back to the car, this M coupe comes with all available options offered when it was first released: cold weather package, extended leather, sat. navigation….. Ron also installed AUX input and iPod connect with software as in the later models. Other important installations by Ron include HD front and rear cameras which are available on navigation screen with a flip of the switch, cameras can operate while the car is moving and if you just need to use them to park. Oil pressure, water temperature, oil temperature and battery voltage gauges are professionally installed, they look so good that you will never be able to tell that the gauges are aftermarket, water temperature gauge works as oil temperature indicator as well with just flick of a switch above. These gauges are very important for monitoring your engine, if there are any serious problems with the engine you will know right away by monitoring the oil pressure or water temperature gauges. Ron also installed Valentine 1 laser/radar detector with remote unit which is controlled by a flip switch. He installed Michelin pilot super sport tires ( 90% tread all four), dust free BMW brake pads (95% all four). Custom Ron Stygar short shifter. Ron installed Front and Rear European bumpers with out reflectors. All the possible problems which might occur with all z4m coupes were double checked and parts were replaced by Ron, including: rouge engineering rear shock mounts, rouge engineering transmission mounts, nordlocks on rear sway bar mount bolts, mason engineering steel clutch pedal, updated BMW engine mount bolts with proper sealant, auto fold in mirrors, Clutch delay valve bypassed with Ron Stygar clutch stop, BMC air intake, front strut brace, and much much more, you can find everything you need to know about this car on the BMW bimmerfest forum under Ron’s profile. Maintenance performed on this car: All the oil changes were done by Ron except for the last one which I preformed by the same recipe that Ron followed, Ron drained old oil from the oil pan for 24 hours until there was no more old oil left in the pan, he did this to get accurate oil analysis reading for the following oil change, I did the same thing for the last oil change that this car had. For every oil change a sample was sent to Blackstone Laboratories for oil analysis to make sure that there are no problems with the rod bearings, Vanos or any other engine abnormalities, I will include a photo of the last report with all of the oil analysis from the first oil change that was performed on this car by Ron and the last oil change that was done by me, Blackstone Lab. consolidated Rons analysis with mine on one report to simplify things. You will be able to clearly see that the oil changes were done just like BMW requires and with outstanding oil reports showing no problems with the car whatsoever. This engine was broken-in by BMW requirements and is in outstanding condition, I would much rather have this engine in my car over any brand new non broken-in S54 engine, since you can clearly tell that this engine will have no issues and has been pampered until the full brake in period and is now ready to be used at its full potential. At 15k Ron performed differential and transmission oil changes, coolant change, engine oil change…At 18K Valve adjustment was preformed by Ron and that also came with another oil change…I purchased the car at 19K and at 22k I preformed an engine oil, transmission oil, and differential oil changes. Car runs like a dream, everything is very crisp just like a brand new car, gear changes are flawless, engine sounds incredible. The car currently has 25k on the odometer and is running absolutely stunning with out any problems whatsoever this M coupe still has the new car scent every time you get in it . I use this car only on the weekends when the weather is nice, this car has been garage kept since day one, it was delivered to Ron’s residence straight from the BMW factory and kept in his garage until I obtained it. I also keep it stored in temperature controlled storage. The engine bay is spotless it looks like the car just came from the factory, the interior is damage free just like new, the exterior is in excellent condition (there is one small scratch on the rear trunk lid, it’s barely noticeable, I’m not sure how it happened and it occurred while the car was in Ron’s possession); front bumper has few tiny rock chips just like any car would with 25k miles (nothing too noticeable); trunk is in excellent condition, wheels have no scratches or dents (look new), the underbody is spotless as well since the car is not driven in rain or cold weather; Ron installed fire extinguisher with bracket under drivers seat and it can easily be removed if desired . All original additional equipment that came with the car will be included: booklet, brochures, BMW umbrella, BMW toosl, BMW flash lights, BMW tire pressure meter, Fix a flat pump with tire repair tools, battery charger with quick connect….. This is my fourth BMW, and by far the best one, my previous sports car was E92 M3 and altho that car was quick, this M coupe is a completely different animal, this car feels more like a true sports car, I feel like I’m driving a go cart on steroids every time I’m in it, you have to drive it to understand what kind of car it is and how raw it is, handling is amazing as well, car just want’s to grip every corner without giving you any doubt in it’s handling ability whatsoever, power delivery is raw and the sound of the high revving inline six produces, makes me forget about my previous v8 M3 every time I’m in it, and altho I miss the V8 I feel like if I sell this car I will miss this one a lot more and probably regret selling it later…..BTW I have only driven this car on the twisty country roads that I know, I’ve never driven it in the city in stop and go traffic. I live in the suburbs of Philadelphia and thats where I drive the car. Car has never been tracked or drag raced. I’m selling this car because me and my wife require funds for our start up business and unfortunately we are selling all of our expensive possessions, this car was the last thing on my list because I know that I will never be able to get one like this again and that it will only go up in value with time considering how limited the production was and that THIS IS THE FIRST Z4M COUPE MADE AND SOLD IN US and how well it is taken care of with all of the maintenance records documented. This is the last raw analog M car model ever made! I will not sell this car for nothing less then what I want for it, so please don’t waste my time and your time with low offers, if I don’t get what I want for it then I will just keep it, I’m not in a rush to get rid of it and I will not make any mistakes that I will regret in the future. I’m sure I missed a lot of stuff about this car but you can find everything you need just by googling Ron Stygar or by browsing the forums on which Ron posted everything that he preformed on this car. Thank you for viewing and Good Luck!
