Vehicle Detail

For sale is a restored 1968 Triumph TR 250. The TR 250 is a rare, limited edition Triumph, made exclusively for the American market, of which only 1,800 units were produced. This car has been extensively restored to its original condition with only 385 miles on the engine since a complete mechanical overhaul. Mechanical work included, but was not limited to, the following: New brakes New wheel cylinders, calipers & feeder hoses New master cylinder New tie rod ends New trunnions & bushings New upper ball joints New shock absorbers all around New exhaust, manifold back and muffler New alternator New spark plugs, wires & caps New set of tires And many more items too numerous to mention. Interior and detail items that have been replaced include: New top All new interior upholstery New Carpets New dash and dash padding All new emblems New side lights New tail lights The original toneau cover and boot cover are in good shape and are included in the sale along with a Triumph jack and some original tools. This car has great compression, does not burn oil and is a reliable runner ready to take you wherever you want to go with the class and style guaranteed to turn heads. To make this rare Triumph a top notch show stopper and serious point winner it still needs a few details seen to. The horn doesn’t work, the emergency brake is frozen and the tachometer doesn’t work right. At some point in the past a patch was installed in the driver’s side floor and for complete originality you might want to replace the floor pan. That’s it. A little bit of TLC to take care of these items and this beauty becomes a serious gem. Comes with a clean Ohio title. Triumph TR 250s are routinely selling for between $25,000 and $45,000 but the reserve on this fine classic is set far, far below its market value. I am selling this car for a friend who doesn’t do eBay, so if you have any questions I will pass them on to him and get back to you ASAP. This car is being sold as is, where is; no warranty is expressed or implied. A $500 nonrefundable deposit is expected within 48 hours of purchase. Balance of payment to be completed within ten days of the end of the auction. Seller requests balance of payment be made via cashier’s check or certified check. The seller can hold the car for up to 30 days without charge but no longer. If you need help with transportation the seller will do all he to accommodate you but transportation is ultimately the responsibility of the lucky buyer.
