For sale is an original 1974 FJ40 Land Cruiser in excellent condition. I am the third owner. This FJ40 has clearly benefited from a limited ownership roster and good care over the years. It has been garaged all of its life and used very lightly. It has never been in an accident or abused. The prior owner gave the Fj to only sparing use: a total of 100 miles per year. It is a native of the southern California high desert. There is little to no rust on this vehicle. The stock 6 cylinder, 4.2L, 1F engine runs beautifully. This FJ starts and runs great, providing a good amount of power and a nice balanced idle. No smoke or hesistation. The drive train is bullet proof and shifts through the gears smoothly. The shocks, steering, dampener, bushings and leaf springs all combine to provide a tight feel. The steering radius is tight. This Fj can turn on a dime. The gauges all work, the upholstery and carpets are excellent, the tires and polished wheels are in great shape. Every pull knob works correctly, as well as the lights, blinkers, horn and wipers. The 4-wheel drive system works like new, providing and incredible amount of torque over any sort of unpaved terrain. Having been recently repainted, the vehicle’s exterior finish is in excellent condition with few chips or flaws. Much of the trim and hinges have been powder coated as is visible in the pics. There are new window rubbers and weather stripping throughout. Glass all around is sound and clear. No chips or cracks. There is a new headliner and a 2" original roll bar. Heat blows hot, defroster works. Offered in essentially stock and unmodified condition. It is running BF Goodrich All Terrain 31 x 16.5's and a mild 2" lift front and back. This FJ40 marks a great and highly collectible classic 4X4 find and an unqualified icon, complete with a clean title. The pictures speak for themselves. The car runs cool, shows great oil pressure, . There is NO evidence of previous patching on top or below.
