I have purchased it from the second owner , a pastor in a little California town not to fear from where I live. I got the original keys and the instruction booklet with warranty validation filed in by the dealer and the original dealship sales contract from 1974 etc. .The car was repainted about 25 years ago. And the paint job is by no means perfect but nice and shines ok. you see the pictures , to form your own opinion, the motor was rebuilt by a company that specializes in Volkswagen motor rebuild it has a tag from them on it so you see it's been a rebuild and I am not sure how many miles that motor has I guess about 25,000, the total mileage on the car is 82000original it runs great!I started to restore the car for my self in the hope to keep it for a very long time as a daily driver I live on a large lake and there are great roads all around not many stop light or signs :) so I went through the car bumper to bumper, and make sure it functions proper I replaced what I found in need . Many upgrade parts sport shift and of course all the shift linkages and bushings have been replaced in the tunnel so shifts Chrisp wood sports steering wheel has been instaled and the indicater cancellation works perfectly switches have been replaced where needed. A New pedal cluster and many thousand dollars worth of other parts.have been installed ,clutch cable and sleeve ,everything works fine on it now from the windshield wipers to the windshield washers,carburetor is overhauled new spark plugs new spark plug wires new distributor cap new ignition coil new vacuum hoses, only to name a few things here ,dash is rebuild (lights and instruments etc. work good )dash top highest showroom quality and wood grain front, brand-new interior from sowfinehas been installed, hook and loop carpet with proper insulation under mats too ( not the cheap kind)installed, the indicatter cancellation works perfectly new switches have been added where needed. ,The headliner is original and not in perfect but nice condition again look at the picture.I went through the trunk and tighten that one up see the picture. I love the car and treated it that way it's not a showroom Vehicle but the pictures show you a nice one to own. Almost rust free ca car Not modified much but rebuild in an original way so it looks like a 74 Karman Ghia that can be driven as is and gets complements when ever I tak it somewhere and I drive it regular . The 74 are the quickest of the bunch :) and have disc braces In the front this one drives and functions much like more contemporary car.Over 40 years ago in Germany I was trained on this cars that's why I am able to do my own work on them. But the car is sold as is no warranty or guaranties are given.your buying a 40 plus year old classic I am sure you did your resurche and homework befor you buy.Please ask if you have questions I'm glad to answer them, I hope the car finds a new home where it is liked and cared for its a great vehicle to own
