I'm selling a 2002 Ford Explorer. The engine has roughly 218,XXX miles but runs good. This vehicle was driven on a daily basis for the past three years. I purchased another vehicle and stopped driving the explorer. Besides from starting it up from time to time or getting it washed, the vehicle has been sitting for approx. six months. I had planned on fixing some of the little things needed but haven't had the time. I'm asking for $1300. Clean title. This is a mechanics special if you have the time to put into the repairs. Some of the items that I noticed recently : the engine seems to switch into overdrive on its own making the shift rough...this may be the beginning of a transmission issue or something with the overdrive controls, someone hit the passenger headlight while the vehicle was parked- a simple fix, the gas tank takes longer than normal to fill, the AC is no longer working. These are the items that I noticed but you will need to get your mechanic to do a full assessment. Could be a good project vehicle or part it out.
