For sale is a 1959 double door panel bus. The bus is pretty solid for the year. The bus isn't perfect but still a very nice bus with a fresh ppg primer sealer blue paint job .roof was done in a ppg semi gloss white .body was sanded down to bare metal and primed very few light filler areas on the body. has some rust below the cargo doors on outer rocker panels , has the original belly pans on it with a few holes, I painted the whole underside of bus in a light grey rustoleum to protect whole underside of bus. It has a stock rebuilt 1965 link pin front beam. New tie rods, new tie rod ends, new drag link. The bus no longer has a small nut transaxle, it now has a 1967 big nut in it that is a stock 12v trans , works great gos in every gear fine. New brakes all around, used only german parts no expense spared on the breaks. new wheel cylinders, new soft lines, new hard brake lines, new hardware and springs, new brake shoes. New tires on freshly powder coated white stock 15 inch bus rims. The hubcaps are used caps painted grey. The inside cargo area of the bus has been sprayed the light grey from rustoleum. The front cab of the bus has a fresh spray of blue sealer as well .dash has one spare hole next to wiper switch and the radio holes where opened up a bit can see on sides of radio block off. Brand new front safari windows painted blue as well. The front doors have all new window rubber and door seals. New rear hatch window seal and hatch seal installed. has a 1968 westfalia z bed in cargo area , which turns into a bed, I have the back pad also for it the cargo floor is rust free , then I put some insulation matt down over it to help with sound, since I was making this bus into a camper the side windows where cut in long ago , but there pretty cool cause you can see out of it , the back window on body they put in right above inner bracing so would be a easy fit to put back the drivers rear quarter panel is the worst of the damage on the bus, but these panels can be bought new making these bus's easier to fix The interior is pretty bare still needing the cardboard panels. New cargo door seals. all new window seals used german ones from Wolfsburg west. the front seat is just springs on bottom but the top has the original cover. the front floor is fairly solid pass side is good, drivers has a hole where the license plate is over, I do have a patch section for that from Wolfsburg west that gos with it The engine is a lower mile 1600cc single port engine, brand new german bus exhaust with heater boxes, new plugs, A good 30 pict 1 carburetor, new air filter, new fuel pump, and a fresh oil change. The transaxle has fresh gear oil in the trans and in the reduction boxes. good bumpers painted white with overrides. The bumpers are complete with all uprights and overrides.. New shocks on all four corners used the silver kyb. New light switch and original 4 terminal ignition switch . good original front door handles with key. has a redone 1967 hump gas tank and outlet along with new fuel lines. All the lights work. new tail lights from isp west The wipers work. New stock pressure plate and clutch. just got bus registered and I have put some miles on it around town and on freeway runs great and is a blast to drive gets tons of looks everywhere but I need to slim down my collection due to not having as big of building to store safely has a clean ca pink current reg ready to go, fly in a drive home!
