This already well serviced and documented car went in for a complete mechanical overhaul engine/trans/oiling/turbo/fueling/ignition/suspension/braking/cooling/AC in December of 2014. It was completed If you are looking for the nicest and most unmolested 930 on the road then your search should end here. Everything you may be concerned about when purchasing a 930 has already been addressed, replaced, reconditioned, painted or powder coated. This car spent its entire life between Georgia and Florida, free from salted roads and drastic climate swings. Our client purchased this car from his neighbor in Florida in late 2014. The car went straight to Treasure Coast Classics in Stuart, Florida where it was mechanically disassembled, thoroughly inspected and meticulously rebuilt. As you can see from the receipts, not a dollar was spared in doing the complete mechanical overhaul. Every nut, bolt, seal, gasket that could be replaced was. Short of retaining its previously installed K27 turbo upgrade (early 1990's) and its newer tuned exhaust (original rear box included in sale), the only other non oem parts used were the recommended ARP head bolt sets and Bilstein shocks. Everything else installed is a OEM Porsche numbered part.
Key mechanical repairs include but are not limited to: (see invoice)
-complete engine-out rebuild including new cylinders, pistons, rings, wrist pins, valves, and port matching
- oiling system overhaul with new pump, hoses, and feed lines
- fuel system overhaul with all new lines and accumulator. Rebuild metering unit

- ignition system overhaul Including coil, distributor, wires
- struts and shocks
-all suspension bushings
-complete braking system overhaul with new lines.

-complete R12 AC overhaul
-powder coating and part refurbishing
This 930 runs (drip free) smooth and clean. It builds correct good spec boost pressure on the guage and makes excellent Porsche power. The trans is smooth as ever and it shifts brilliantly. The car tracks perfectly straight and is an abosolute pleasure to take the road with.
Outward the car is straight, dry, and shows no signs of accidents. 1987 Porsches had vin tags on all body parts, including bumpers. This car has original tags everywhere we can see, proving that this car was never crunched in the front or rear. The color over the entire car is deep and the shine is clean and free of hazing or sun damage. The jambs look great in their original color. The panel lines look factory consistent further supporting an accident free lifetime. The trim on the car is excellent as are the bumperettes, lights, and glass. We believe the car may have had a respray at some point although the quality is consistent with factory single stage paint. There are only a 2 spots that show potential dent repairs (digital paint guage), one on the right front fender and the other on the right rear quarter (leading edge). The repairs are not noticeable and hard to detect. Color match is perfect the repairs are acceptable to Porsche standards. We detect 2 very small dings on the roof above the passenger side door and a small rock knot under the right front headlight. Normal light stone chips are present down low on the leading edge of the rocker/quarter skirts (in front of rear wheel wells below chip guards). The Fuchs wheels are original and were refinished by Rennsport in 1997. The Bridgestone Potenza RE-11 tires show even tread wear at 9/32 depth.
Inward we fined the original Champagne leather throughout in excellent condition. The seat bolster shows better than normal wear. The leather shows its deep color and has remained taught on the door panels and throughout. The carpets are original down to the lower mats, which have remained covered since new. The headliner is taught and clean with only a minor tear noted above the drivers head (dime sized). All gauges and switches are in proper working order. The power seats work properly as do the power mirrors. The AC blows cold (just serviced). The radio works as it should. The car has a Cobra security system in good working order. The tool kit and jack are present.
This car is every bit as nice as it appears. The Porsche friends that we have invited to view the car prior to selling it have all agreed that its a very accurate and upstanding car with the correct service repairs, documentation, and provenance.
