This motorcycle is being relisted because the winning bidder did not complete the sale. His young son apparently bid on it without his knowledge. OK, first of all, please check my feedback rating! And next, I should share that I'm a bit eccentric, in an positive obsessive way, relative to how I care for my vehicles. I am 64 years young. I only purchase very well cared for low mileage vehicles. And, ...I always name my motorcycles. It's an indication that I care about them. The Norton Commando was "Ed". (Ed was my only boy motorcycle.) Next was the "Ho", she was a big pearl white Honda CBX. Then there was the "Black Pearl", a K-series BMW. Next was "Red", my second of 3 BMW's, and now this one is "Skye". She is named not for the sky around Ohio, but the sky in the deepest parts of the South Pacific, near Guam. That sky, and the ocean thereabouts, are the deepest blues you can imagine. Hence, Skye! A perfect fit for this great girl. Technically, she is really Sinus Blue. Everything about her functions properly. She's never been down, not even a tip-over. Her pictures speak for themselves! Skye has an excellent service (including receipts) record. She has her owner's manual, a service manual, matched original keyed system cases, Corbin seats, including the driver's backrest. (3 keys.) She has an upgraded Givi windscreen, and road peg attachments. Engine guards. She just had an oil (filter) change, and is ready for her next adventure! All of her service recommendations have been completed. She has had annual brake fluid changes. She has heated grips, and ABS brakes. Her engine is 90hp powerful, and she has incredible torque. She loves the curves, and is ready for adventure. Speaking of adventure, Skye and I are just back from a 17-day trip: Ohio to the NE tip of Maine, down the east coast to Florida, around the Gulf to New Orleans, and up the Natchez Trace Parkway; back home. 5,000 miles! 42 miles per gallon. She performed flawlessly! The wife didn't (wouldn't) go, so Skye goes to a new home and "we" will invest in a Corvette that (wife) will be willing to "go" in. I purchased Skye in the Fall of 2008, with 8,338 original miles. She now has just short of 25,000 miles. Look around on eBay, and you will find BMW R1100RT examples with 150K plus miles, still running strong. These motorcycles are notoriously dependable and reliable. Both tires are good. If you are the winning bidder, and want to immediately start your adventure from Skye's present location, I will accommodate the winner by picking them up at the Columbus, Ohio (CMH) airport, and properly introduce you two. You can ride her home--to virtually anywhere! BTW If you are looking for an annoying noisy loud vibrator (Harley), please look elsewhere. She is nothing like that! When you get Skye up to highway speed, ...all you can hear is a slight wrrrrrrrrrrrr, ...along with the wind! No kidding! Winning bidder need make no deposit.
