Vehicle Detail

I always liked the 190e's for their compact size, traditional Mercedes styling, and smooth ride. purchasedthis Mercedes in January 2012 with 91,235 miles, because the body and interior was so straight and clean - only very minor wear. It is Ice Blue Metallic with Andorblau Metallic matte trim. The interior is Blue MB Tex. I've kept it garaged most of the time I've owned it. It's a nice car, but I'm thinning my "collection," so now it's available to you. I've replaced many components, a few as they failed, many for preventative maintenance: Fuel Filter Both Fuel Pumps Both front lower ball joints Front Tires (matching Michelins) Fuel Injectors Spark plugs (correct non-resistors) Spark plug wires Distributor Cap Distributor Rotor Distributor Shielding Coolant Temperature Sensor Radio/CD Player & speakers Trans to driveshaft Flex joint Shifter linkage bushings Trans Vacuum modulator Cam cover gasket Remote locking Crankshaft Sensor Fuel Injection Electro Hydraulic Actuator The car is not perfect of course, and has minor cosmetic items, but much nicer than most, and will be eligible for antique status and tags in January 2016. Mechanically, it usually starts very easily, has a steady idle, accelerates, steers and stops without drama. It has some oil seepage from the front of the engine. I think it's from the timing cover near the head. It does have a very firm 2-3 shift, The transmission does not slip, and the fluid and filter has been changed twice. This is the last year that this model was designed to start in 2nd gear, which you can manually override from a stop if you want. The A/C blows cold. All of the electric accessories and gauges work, including all the windows, seats and headrests, locks, cruise control, outside temp display, and antenna. The door speakers are not working. This is a very pleasant used Mercedes - If you are interested, I'd be glad to answer any questions. As with any old car purchase, you really should see it for yourself to confirm condition, appearance, and expectations. You may also want to consider having a third party come by to inspect the car. Sorry, I can't offer a warranty on the car. On Jun-19-15 at 16:50:54 PDT, seller added the following information: UPDATE 6/19/15: I was asked about the underside of the car. This vehicle has no rust on the unibody/frame - it is exceptionally clean. Check out this link for underbody photos: http://s931.photobucket.com/user/akorna/library/190e I drove the car to work today, about 24 miles round trip. It started and drove smoothly, no vibration up to 65 MPH, A/C cooled on a 98 degree day. While not perfect, this car is in great looking and operable condition for a 24 year old car with just under $100K miles. It is worth probably $3,000-$3,500 - looks like someone is going to get a great deal - car will sell to the highest bidder - reserve is off!
