1931 Ford Model A Roadster -built by- Oiler's Car Club Member exclusively for The Race of Gentlemen, 2014 1930-31 Ford Roadster Traditional Racer! Extremely nice body that was primed and almost finished with restoration years ago and then left to surface rust. Solid and looks amazing!! I need more garage space so unfortunately this has to go. Comes with extremely nice body with an amazing patina for that perfect vintage look. No patch panels in the wheel wells, quarters or cowl! Replaced factory correct floors, replaced subrails, restored frame, 4 cylinder Model A engine that runs STRONG! I have video of it winning races, and hanging in there till close to the end against a flathead. Modern points ignition, 4inch stretch dropped model a axle done by Oakie Joe, Mechanical brakes with dropped axle adapters and lowered, flipped and dropped Model A strevering arms, reversed eye front spring rearched the the way 40s dirt track drivers did it, Model T rear spring for 3" lower stance in the rear, NEW 5.00x 16 front dirt track tires and inner tubes with inner tube liners, NEW rear 7.50x 16 tall Firestone tires with inner tubes and inner tube liners for top speed, 16 inch Ford wire wheels with great patinad V8 hubcaps from 1936, custom hand painted race lettering by skilled local artist, rare Packard "SPEED LIGHT" headlights by Trippe (which won the gold medal at both the 1928 and 1929 Paris Exposition of Innovation), custom 1932 tail light stand, cut and flipped for Model A frame. Headlights and tail light are wired and working. Rubber floor mats in passenger compartment and rumble seat area. 6V Battery with 6V generator working perfectly. Custom rear push bar with club plaque mount, (Club plaque and Texas license plate not included) and extremely clean still galvenized gas tank inside. No rusty gas! Be the ultimate Race of Gentlemen event supporter with this custom built traditional race car that will turn heads! This was not built to be a "Rat Rod." I've spent years researching how vintage race cars were built and this car was intended to fool people into thinking it was an old track car found after sitting for years.
