This is a 1961 Rambler American Convertible in fantastic shape body wise. Interior is great. Motor was rebuilt and runs fantastic. Has new Brake drums, new brake shoes, new wheel cylinders, new brake lines and hoses. It was recently tuned up with points, condenser, wires, cap and rotor and plugs. Has a new battery and fuel filter. It was originally red and was painted a long time ago white, it was done nicely and door jambs and trunk and hood area are done as well.. It has usual small scratches but still looks fine for now. The top is good but not new, tires are true wide white walls and have great tread. I drove it home ( about 20 miles ) and it went down the road as good as any 60's car. The only and I mean only rust spots are buy the hood hinges under the hood on the inner fender lip and lower behind drivers door and it is not bad. There is no rust on the underside. I would replace the master cylinder ( leaks out the back slightly ) and rebuild the carb ( accelerator pump dosen't work and choke needs adjustment ). This car is not a show car, it is a very very nice looking little curser that still needs some TLC and is getting very hard to find. It does leak some fluid from the power steering from sitting so much. There is a dent in the back bumper and the temp gauge is not reading. That is all I find wrong with the car. IF time and parts availability permit I am going to fix the carb ( repaired now and purrs like a kitten ) and replace master cylinder ( new one ordered ), IF I can find the parts reasonably. It runs great just the hesitation.
