This is a good project bike for someone that is mechanically inclined and is looking for a good core bike to fix up. Its up to the new owner on how far they want to take it. If you are a vintage Honda XR75 fan you know this is the first model year and very difficult to find in decent condition. I will go into detail below but if you have additional questions do not hesitate to contact me. I would be happy to answer any questions for you. This model fully restored will typically sell for 4,500 + so it is worth putting the effort into. Thanks for looking! *** There is no title for this bike but the new owner will get a Bill of Sale. Bike details:Frame - frame is straight with no crushed tubes. The paint a redone by the previous owner and looks very nice.Bodywork - front / back fenders have been repainted and it was not a good job. Side panels are in nice shape with no dents or creases but there is a scrape on the ride side panel decal. Tank paint I am 95% sure is original. As I was preparing this bike for sale I cleaned the gas tank out and replaced the petcock with a brand new one (not shown in the pictures). Front number plate is in great shape.Suspension - forks are in nice shape with no leaks but there are a few pits here and there. Fork bottom need to be polished. Shocks work fine and should clean up to look good.Motor - This bike starts, runs, shifts and idles as it should but gas comes out of the carb over flow hose while the petcock is turned on which tells me the float set is sticking and the carb will need a rebuild(- - - I am including a Brand new aftermarket carb for the bike along with a manifold gasket - - - - SEE LAST PIC - - -). Kick starter is original and works. The center case gasket leaks. However, if you want to replace it these are very simple motors to work on if you are mechanically inclined.Exhaust - Pipe seems to be original and is in very nice condition. The pipes are the hardest part to find for these old XR's.Wheels - rims have rust/pitting all over (see picture). You have several options - you can buy new rims/ spoke kits on Ebay or the other option is just purchase a nice used wheel on ebay and swap the new tires over. The tires on the bike are new. Seat - seat cover, foam and base are in ecellent shape. .Controls - throttle ,lever's , perch covers, bars , kill switch and Grip's all work. SHIPPING: costs and arrangements are the responsibility of the buyer. I don't mind holding the bike for a while once it is paid for.
