Up for sale is a Boshart Tersus truck, with new battery pack installed. The Boshart Tersus was the first full sized truck that went to market. About 10 were built before operations were discontinued. This is your chance to buy a true collector item. One sold at Barrett Jackson Auctions last year at over double our starting price. Boshart's 100% electric Tersus SUT is based on the Phoenix SUT. It provides a viable, green alternative utility vehicle around town or even on agricultural and industrial sites. Anywhere that distances are generally short and speeds low but they need to have a good carrying capacity for heavy gear and be cheap to run and maintain. This truck will carry five passengers and 1,000lbs of cargo. It eliminates the cost of gas, oil and regular engine maintenance for daily operational vehicles while producing zero emissions. This truck will charge fully from empty in two hours on a quick-charger, reaching a very usable 80% charge within one hour. Using the on board charger, it's only six hours to fully charge the batteries. This makes recharging a simple overnight or while at work job using a common 110V socket. The original cost was over $31,000. We recently replaced the battery pack, with a new Interstate 232ah lead acid pack, and high end AGM 12V auxiliary battery. We also added a watering system, for single port watering. This replaced the original pack that had been severely overcharged. Range is approximately 20 miles, top speed of about 25 miles per hour. Truck is being sold as is, however it is operational. It is registered in California, and legal on roads as a low speed electric vehicle. Is shippable. Answering a few questions I received so far....
