I Purchased this car from the 1 original owner in Lake Forest, IL and she always had the car meticulously serviced at Mini Cooper Chicago and Knauz Imports (Huge imports dealer here in midwest). Synthetic oil changes, tires, new brake pads and rotors in 2013 ect. Have mounds of paperwork to prove it, she kept everything. I just purchased my grandfather's sealcoating business (as a 2nd business) and while i was looking fwd to owning (and enjoying) my 3rd Mini Cooper, we just bought a building and it needs cash put into it so I simply need to sell some items to fund the company a bit. Great powerful car, shifts perfectly, clutch feels great - no slipping ect, shifter is tight in and out of all gears, brakes all great - no pulsing coming to a stop. The only item which i was about to send it into my imports mechanic this week is the turbo feeder line has a small oil leak (replace with new). My guy says it will be $620, and while i'm doing that i'd also like to have small crack in the thermostat housing i found (replace with new) done which will be $360. Car operates great, no operational problems, i am a pilot so just really don't drive things unless they are running in top shape, if you know somethings wrong or not quite perfect, fix it. Many mini owners drive their cars with both of these common problems but i just don't see it that way. I would put car in shop now, but figured I would first give chance to any handymen who want to save the cost and do it themselves vs. taking to a shop like above. Car has always been garage kept. It is kept at my home in the Lake Geneva, WI area and is also listed on Craigslist and I reserve right to remove from Ebay (as Ebay allows).
