I am re listing this car due to the last guy who bid it away from someone who really wanted it and then came to me saying that his wife was going to divorce him if he bought it?? Please, only bid if you intend to pay! Up for sale is my all original,1957 Chevy Belair, 4-door. It has a 283 V-8 with an automatic Powerglide transmission. It runs and drives great. It does not leak any fluids and I drive this car everywhere. I just took it to a car show in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee a few weeks ago, it traveled amazing! The body is extremely solid with no rust that I can find anywhere! The motor has been freshly rebuilt and it only has about 3000 miles on it. The car is originally a South Carolina car and has been in my family for generations and has been passed down. It has pretty much been garage kept its whole life. It has a new gas tank and brakes all the way around and it stops very well. Although we have a lot in the paint, it is not perfect. Again it is all original with all of the great options and the car is 100% complete. I still have the original hubcaps, the ugly Large breather, tons of chrome, and even an extra original cast iron Powerglide tranny. They only put this style transmission in these cars from 55-57, so they are getting hard to find. My father replaced the carpet and started reworking the inside of the car. It will need the seats recovered if you want it to be perfect. I have torque thrust 2 wheels on it or I could put a set of Corvette rallies on it if you don't like that look. I don't think you will find another one around in as good of shape for the money. My father is getting dimensia and we are needing to sell off some of these old cars to help us pay for medication and additional assistance. Good Luck bidding!
