79' Chevy Luv factory Step side Mikado, V8 Chevy SB 262 conversion. Turbo 350 Transmission, Ford 8 3/4 rear end. Carburetor 4bl. It is complete but needs gone over. Has the one piece door windows. Turns over however wont start. Most likely points, coil, or fresher gas. Honestly it ran when parked and I have not had the time to clean and troubleshoot. Was garaged for a lot of the time. Great little project and a cool little truck. My father and I built it when I was in high school and would love to find someone who would enjoy it as we have through out the years. My father was a machinist by trade and built Sprint cars through out his life and is still racing at 70+. The conversion was done right although we did not dump tons of cash into it back in the day. This truck was a daily driver for many years by me and then my father. Things I know it needs- Transmission works good it has a slow slow leak Gas tank emptied and fresh gas. Transmission fluid. Battery. Oil change Cleaning Air in tires Brake calipers are rusty The body of the truck is in pretty fair condition some rust. Factory step side with fiberglass fenders. Front tires that are on it are rotten however I have some stock wheels and tires that will go with it. I also have a brand new windshield to go. Interior is fair, dash is cracked like every Luv Headliner is good Bucket seats fair Door panels good/fair for the age. Ask away with questions. Sold as is. On May-09-15 at 12:58:39 PDT, seller added the following information: An ebay customer asked to define "some rust". Great question I replied: ""some rust" like I see it would include normal or common surface rust developing on the body of the truck in more than four area. If you are not familiar with these trucks, areas common to rust are cab louvers, lower aft part of the front fenders, bed rails, bed. This truck does have rust on these areas which is predominately surface type rust ranging slight pitting developing. Undercarriage and calipers are rusty. Besides the hood and gate hinges no compromise to integrity or cut outs required. or "some rust" could include and does include in this case at least 1 pinky finger hole in the drivers side lower door-jam toward the front. Tailgate hinges gave out in 92" I believe. Hood hinges failed just as of last week. The hood I believe has 2 to 3 pin hole size that are developing. I am not at the location of the truck however by tonight or in the morning I can post some (meaning additional) pictures that are close up of the areas upon request." I believe others would define it close to this, my intention is to have a happy buyer and up font and honest is the best way to achieve this, that said please let me know if I am way off here in regards to some rust.
