This car is not Maryland State Inspected, and therefore it cannot be sold to a Maryland Resident. As is stated above, this is a NO RESERVE auction for a 1995 Mercedes E300 Diesel. This car has the OM606 6-cylinder diesel, which is well known for being very reliable and smooth-running engine. It has decent power, and is definitely quicker than the 300SD turbo that I used to own. These engines will run forever if they get their regular oil and filter change, and they return great gas mileage. I've only burned 1/4 tank in the past week with daily driving. This one runs wonderfully, and does not smoke, leak or overheat. It starts up right away, so the glow plugs are in good shape. The oil pressure is great, it sits at 1.8 Bar while idling, and 3 when driving. The automatic transmission shifts normally through all of its gears. The brakes are strong. The suspension feels about average for the age and mileage. It is not bouncy or loose, but it is probably time for some new bushings underneath, and maybe new tie rod ends. Still, it is a pleasure to drive on the highway. I just changed the oil and filter 2 weeks ago with Rotella 15W-40 oil, and filter from the local Mercedes dealership. This car runs great and is ready to go anywhere! The tan interior of the car is in decent shape for the age, but it could use a clean up. The dash and door panels are clean and do not have any cracks or sun damage. The leather seats are supportive and comfortable. There is a small tear on the lumbar support of the driver’s seat, as well as a stain on the headrest. The carpets are in good shape, without any tears, but they could use a good shampooing to get a few small stains out. There are driver and passenger airbags. The dash gauges all work, and there are no warning lights showing. The heater works great, the A/C comes on but does not blow cold, so it may need a charge. The factory radio works well, though the power antenna is broken. The power seats, power sunroof and power windows all work. The power locks are not currently working, nor is the cruise control. There is a small panel missing over the driver’s side view mirror, but the rest of the interior panels are all intact, and even the factory 1st Aid Kit is still present. The wiper works, but could use a new refill. The exterior of the car is showing its age a bit. The gold paint is faded. There are little scratches and dings here and there. However, the body is solid, and there is no rust underneath that I can see. There is a spot of surface rust present on the driver’s door, and another on the inside corner of the rear, passenger’s side door. All of the exterior lights work. All of the tires have plenty of tread. The passenger’s side corner on the lower front spoiler is broken, but this part should be easy to find in a junkyard or online. This is a pretty good car, and I would say in overall average shape for the age and mileage. These older big-6 Mercedes diesels are getting harder to find without astronomical mileage, so this is a good opportunity to snap one up that is in decent shape. My father loves these old diesel Mercedes, and has been using this one as a daily driver for about 3 months now, so I know that it is a good car. This car is not in showroom condition, it has some faults, and I have described all of those faults that I have found. Please read the description thoroughly, examine all of the pictures and then come see / drive the car in person before you decide to bid. I am selling this car on behalf of my father because he does not use the internet. This car is owned by his small, used car dealership. Since this car is owned by a dealership, the buyer has the option of getting a 2-month temp tag, so that he or she can legally drive the car home. Payment is to be made in cash. Paypal and Bank Transfers are not cash, cash is physical, paper money.
