Vehicle Detail
Porsche 944 1985.5 This is the oval dash model. The car currently shows 270,200 miles on the odometer, but there is actually about 273,000 miles on the car, but the engine has less miles. The engine was replaced about 8 years ago with an 88 944 engine. The engine had about 58,000 miles when it was installed and now has about 141,000 miles. The engine runs great and has a lot of power. It's a very reliable car, and I have fixed many small little things over the years of owning it that allows it to be very dependable now. It has a very clean interior with brand new seat covers. The AC has been converted to R134a and is cold. This car IS being sold with the Fuch wheels that you see in the pictures. And yes, they are real fuch wheels. The wheels alone are worth about $800, but are in need of being repainted. Smog check was just done and it passed with no problems. Currently registered until Oct. 2015 and has a clean title This car was originally purchased in southern california and has stayed here it's whole life. Recently replaced parts:Both front seat were reupholsteredTiming and balance belt 6000 miles agoTires are good and have a lot of tread left, many more milesRadiator hoses a few years agoNew brake master cylinder Parts I have installed:K&N air filterOnly944 short shifterOnly944 shifterNew shifter cover and inner bootNew armrest coverNew steering wheel coverNew hatch sealNew sunroof sealBrushed aluminum e-brake buttonFirewall brace (it wasn't cracked I just wanted to reinforce the firewall)Throttle cam Things that don't work on the car:The power steering only works when steering to the right. The rack was rebuilt about 4 years ago but stopped working recently.Reverse lights and the power mirrors. The wiring is connected between the two and there is something wrong, like a short in the wire, but I can't find it.Trunk carpet is grossAC looses charge over about a year but it's easy to recharge and cost $20 from autozoneDent in the bottom of the rear fender, as seen in the picture. This was done by the previous owner, backed into a tall curbFront bumper is pushed in a little on one side, this was done by me parking a little too close to a wall, at about 1 mphClear coat is peeling, as seen in the picture. The sunroof visor hinges are broken. The little visor that pops up when the sunroof is removed from the car.Hatch and hook shocks are badMPG gauge is a little glitchyFog light glass is brokenBrakes are a little soft, but work fine. There is either a little air in the lines or it needs new brake lines. All in all, this is a great car and runs very well and strong. We are moving to Florida in a few months and have to sell the car. I have owned this car for about 9 years and it has been great to me. Please message me if you have any questions about the car.
