Model Overview This 2008 Dodge Challenger SRT8 came stock with a 6.1L Hemi pushrod V8 engine that made an impressive 425 horsepower and 420 lb-ft of torque. I had it supercharged with a ProCharger boosting the horsepower to 650 and 530 at the rear. I have clocked 0 to 60 mph in mid four-second range. In 2008, a five-speed automatic with AutoStick manual control was the only transmission offered but I upgraded to a Hurst Shifter. A four-wheel independent suspension underpins the Challenger, providing a smooth ride and crisp, tight handling. I installed a Front Mopar stabilizer bar. Standard are Bilstein monotube gas shocks, while big Brembo brakes--four-piston, front and back--provide impressive stopping power. It's able to stop from 60 mph in about 100 feet. I have 20-inch Drop Star wheels and Goodyear low-profile tires. Carbon-fiber-style hood stripes are part of the SRT8's Hemi Orange paint scheme. The solid black stripes on the sides seem to be one of a kind since I haven’t seen them on any other challenger. The marker and brake lights are tastefully blacked out and the windows are tinted. I installed a reverse camera that’s integrated into the original navigation screen. I never entered my car in any shows but am told I would definitely place. Whether its the Hemi Orange or the Roar of the motor this car will turn your head. I am Very Firm with my price because I think its fair for any serious buyer. To get this much horsepower you will have to spend over $70k on the Hellcat but you won't have the 2008 inaugural year of the Challenger's return.
