Vehicle Detail

I have owned this car for almost two years. It is a beautiful car, in very good condition. I drive it only on nice days when no rain is forecast. I have driven the car only a thousand miles in the last year, and it makes no sense for me to keep it. (I also have a 2002 Boxster with 12,500 miles that I rarely drive!) I had admired the car on Porsche Club drives and bought it from an attorney acquaintance who had the car for about three years. For family reasons he needed to sell. The car looks, runs and drives great. The radio and A/C work well. The A/C was converted to 134A refrigerant. I had the original top replaced with a new German canvas top shortly after I bought the car. A year ago I put new Continental tires on the 17-in Turbo rims. A few months ago I had the valves adjusted, plus had the plugs, rotors, distributor caps, fuel filter and oil & filter changed. The car had a clean CarFax Report. I have found no evidence of any accident damage. I don't think the car has been repainted, but the bumpers and a panel or two might have been. If so, the paint was matched perfectly. (I don't know how the bumpers could look so good if not repainted.) The more closely I examined the car after I owned it, the more impressed I was with its condition and the absence of previous "tinkering." I have the original window sticker as well as most of the service invoices for the car beginning in 1996. (Apparently the original owner did not keep them/pass them on.) From the invoices I can tell that the distributors were upgraded to the vented type at 35K miles. The clutch was replaced at 39K miles and the flywheel was upgraded at the same time. From the service invoices it appears that the car has been serviced regularly. I have observed no signs of oil consumption. I am told that virtually all air-cooled 911s leak oil, but if this one does it is very little. The only blemishes I know of beyond just normal minor rock dings are as follows: The driver's side fog lamp lens has a hairline crack (photo); The driver's side seat back has a little wear where it is scuffed getting into and out of the car (photo); Two little spots on the RR fender have been touched up and are barely noticeable. (I took a photo but the spots were not discernible, so I did not attach.)
