Vehicle Detail
1970 GMC Jimmy Custom (CST) 4x4, very complete and original (except for radio) "barn find". Dash is uncut. Original plates, paint, hub caps and drivetrain. Engine#V0617TAY. 350ci, 255hp, 4bbl. T350 trans. White with Parchment interior. Lots of factory options including AC, CST trim, shoulder harness seatbelts, rear seat, tach and gauges, hand throttle, power steering and brakes, aux (dual) battery, posi rear diff, and double wall top. Bumpers and trim in very nice condition. Has rear spare carrier and roll bar. I have installed all new fuel sys including tank, filler tubes, fuel pump, and rebuilt carb. New brake sys from power booster to every part on the backing plates. New drums including cross drilled drums on the front. New water pump and pwr steer pump, hoses, and steering box (quick ratio). New belts and hoses. New Pertronix electronic ignition and coil, new rotor, cap, wires and plugs. Runs very smooth. Compression is right around 150 on all 8 cyl. Transfer case and hub work great. 5 new 15x8 wheels powdercoated white and BFG Rough Terrain tires. $4500+ in receipts just for parts. Paint has a nice patina to it. All it needs is interior redone and it will make a nice daily driver with a survivor look. It does have rust where the sill plate attaches at the edge of the carpet but the rockers are solid. Has current reg (exp 02/16) and insurance. I purchased the vehicle from the second owner in 2013. He said he bought it in 1985 from his uncle who was the original owner. He said he parked it in 1987(ish) because the steering box malfunctioned but it still ran good at that time. It was stored in a metal building on his property when I purchased it. The oil looked brand new. It was fresh and golden. It turned freely and had good compression. The water pump was froze and the AC pump had no belt. The steering box had a bad seal that caused it to pull to the left. I replaced the parts listed above and put two batteries in it. Flushed the cooling system and changed the oil. I've been driving it ever since. It has a slight leak from the transfer case where the driveshaft yolk goes in. That is the only leak. I prefer local pick up but I will deliver the truck to a shipper up to 30 miles. Otherwise, the buyer is responsible for having the vehicle picked up by a shipper. Vehicle will not be released until payment in full is verified.
