Vehicle Detail

About this Nova and I First of all, I will be updating this listing as I go since I have limited time because of my work schedule. So yes there will be more pictures and serial numbers etc, and the Nova will be for sale locally here in Huntersville NC, so I reserve the right to end this auction at any time. It is a South Carolina title so no Notary is necessary for title transfer. The last thing on my mind was selling this car. I have a very huge passion for Novas. My dad bought me one to restore when I was 13, and I scraped and saved to get it in great running condition with a 396 and full SS clone badging, all my money went into it for the next five years, just to have it stolen from the body shop. Now that I'm an adult this was going to be my redemption project, so yes it is in project condition. When I committed to buying this car and put a down on it, I had no idea that I would be getting married soon after. My wedding is May 10th, and I have to pay for the whole thing myself given the financial situation of my parents and my bride to be's parents. So the Nova has to go, at least until I can afford to get another one, one day. I will be posting a video of it running so you all can see that yes it does run and can be built up over time. In the unlikely event you want to donate towards my wedding, here is the link: honeyfund.com/wedding/maxandleah The Good: Two speed powerglide tranny good for drag racingChevy 350 in good running condition.Headers/flowmastersBrand new distributor w clear capBrand new batteryOil just changed with Lucas oil Synthetic/ Castrol GTX High MileageRebuilt Alternator from a 1970 BuickBrand new walmart batteryNew battery terminals/cablesNew spark plug wiresThe floor pans in the cab have very minor surface rust, and I do mean minor, if you look under the car you can see that it doesn't go all the way through. The Bad: The choke is screwed up on the Carburetor isn't functioning properly, so when you first cold start the car, you have to keep giving it a little gas for about 3 minutes or so for it to idle right. But then it runs fine. I had planned to grab an Edelbrock 700cfm from craigslist or something with an electric choke, but since I'm not keeping it, I can't afford to put any more money into it.The gasket on the tranny pan needs to be replaced. But its not gushing fluids or anything.Gasket between the headers and flowmasters needs replacement.Headers look to be from a truck since they don't tuck as nicely under the nova like my hooker headers did on my old Nova. The timing isn't perfect, but hopefully I will be taking care of that this weekend. The floor shifter was obviously put on by some sort of cross-eyed dingbat. The Ugly: The TRUNK has a very rusted floorpanEven though the paint Job looks ok on the car, there was some very shotty body work done, and the rear quarters above the wheels are clearly in bad shape. The interior is crap, period. The seats look ok, but they are not original, they look like some sort of SUV seats. The fan is stuck on the on position. There is no carpet. The dash pad is cracked. There is no headliner. The hood latch is tweaked and needs to be adjusted.THERE IS NO RESERVE! NOVA IS LOCAL PICKUP ONLY, I WILL NOT SHIP THIS CAR ANYWHERE. I SUGGEST GETTING IT TOWED UNLESS YOU ARE LOCAL EVEN THOUGH IT DOES RUN I HAVE NOT PERSONALLY DRIVEN IT LONG DISTANCE. Thats it for now! Will be updating with more pics etc soon, thanks for looking! On Apr-15-15 at 21:39:06 PDT, seller added the following information: UPDATE: You can look up "Blue 1970 4 door Nova 4 sale on eBay Ends April 18" To find the video of it running, I shot it tonight, I would of done it during the day but I have not had a minute of free time because of work. You'll notice I didn't use the windshield wipers, that's because it was dark and couldn't find the dang switch. I can assure you they work, and can prove it when the buyer comes to pick up the car. Because of the slow tranny fluid leak, it didn't seem to want to hit second gear. I'll be sure to top it off before Saturday. Didn't have problems with 2nd, a week ago. Ebay is not letting me upload the last three pics I wanted to upload, so if you message me I will email them to you One is a close up of the shifter, one is where the headliner is supposed to be, and the third is just a long shot of the front console. If you need specific pictures let me know and I will try and get them for you TOMORROW ONLY, I will be out of town Friday after work and wont be back till Saturday night. Just a reminder, this Nova is a project and is being sold "AS IS" and I will not be accepting returns. Thanks
